Cameras with an older look (2000s-2010s)

1) What is your budget? How much money can you spend right away, and do you think you can get more money to invest in the future?
 
thread got messed up

basically, I’m looking for an older digital camera (2000-2010) for less than $500 to shoot skiing (mostly form a tripod)

should be relatively easy to use cause I’m a beginner

I’ve looked at the Nikon Coolpix p510 but don’t think it will work great on the snow, but I do like the video quality and the zoom
