Camera Stabilizers

I just bought a new dslr camera so I can start filming while skiing and I need a stabilizer. What works good? I see the cheap U shaped ones and I'm wondering if they are any good or should I spend the money on one with counterweights? Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

A glide cam or something similar to that is always the best choice.

Lots of people like the steering wheels, not my favorite but they work. Same with an xgrip, they work and they're cheap. But a glide cam will always produce the smoothest shots.

Glide cam if you have the money, I made a fig rig out of PVC joints and pipe and it works quite well. Check out Indy Mogul on YouTube if you want to build one.
