is there any way to get a non digital movie camera put movies on to the computer. i have a regual hi 8 camera and want to get some video on my comp

yeah you can get it transfered professionally....or if you plan do it often go buy yourself a half decent capture card for your comp

i think amanda is talking about super8mm FILM, heres what u do though

get a friend with mini dv cam, get your hi8 cam...use the video out on your high8 to the video in on the digi....put the digi in VCR mode and start recording onto the tape (there should be a VCR RECORD button)...hit play on the high8, and voila, the digi will take the footage, then just hook a firewire cable up and import

if u dont have firewire, u can get like a Dazzle box with USB connection for cheap, thatll work too

my friend does that wtih his camera, he takes his fotage and puts it onto his computer. I dont know exactly how he does it, its a special cord or somthing... ill try and find out for you. But it can be done.
