i have an everage camera fugi fine pix s700, and im just wondering what the best settings are for ski shots like is their a good balence of aperature and shutterspeed or is it just the sports setting like what to ski photographers use most of?

Try and narrow down the question. But, obvioulsy a faster shutter speed ISO some where between 100-300 or something and your aperture is usually around 5-6, but this is such a general question.

for skiing i usually have the iso at 200, shutter speed and aperture changes dramatically from shot to shot depending on the light, speed of the subject, what kind of shot youre looking to get etc etc etc...

I would try to keep your shutter speed above 1/500...this will do a pretty good job freezing any action. Adjust your aperture and iso accordingly.

Well i rarely ever touch still life cameras but i do a lot of film and video.

And the best advice i can give you is play with the settings and see wich ones you like the most for each lighting condition you are in. If it means taking pictures of gapers going by to see if you like the settings then do so.

Thats the advice i can give
