Camera recommendations???

Ok so i have a dcr-hc48 and the camera is pretty good. but i am looking for something else. for the price range i can spend around 700 dollars to 900 or maybe 1000 if necessary. some cameras i have looked at are sony hc7, canon hv20 and canon hv30, and panasonic pv gs500. please tell me if any of these cameras are good or any recommendations please.

700-1000? With that, I'd go with the HV30. They're going on Amazon for under $800, a bargain if you ask me. A similar camera to look at would be the HDR-HC9 from Sony.

depends if your going HD or not, im liking the HV20 and 30. But remember you can get a TRV babydeath for 900$, but thats more for skateboarding, go with one of the HV's remember there only 16:9

im in the same boat as you and i have basically the same camera, check my thread about gl2 or macbook, maybe there is something in there you want to no .
