Camera Mounts

My dad is letting me use his D60 and I want to by a good mount for it so that my friends and I can easily film. I was looking in to scorpion mounts but I don't know much about them. Any reviews? Should I get a different kind of mount? Any help would be awesome. thanks

I've never heard of the scorpion mount before.

And maybe the OP is talking about the Canon D60? (Yes, that's something different than the 60D). But then again, the D60 doesn't film either. He probably means the Canon 60D, we'll wait for him to respond.

something like that isn't worth purchasing, you can make one out of metal of pvc for under $20, and that way you will have it exactly how you want. for follow cams, glidecams are typically considered the best, though a tripod is much more versatile than a glidecam. it sounds like you will only be using this short term, or as a one time deal, so I would recommend building one out of pvc until you are ready to make a more serious investment

when i want other people to film me i hand them this. its easy for them to hold on to and aim with, its got rubber grip on it, and the reason i use it over a pvc rig is because its heavier and so the camera is a little more steady with it

Buy the opteka one, 35$, it has a cold shoe mount on the grip so you can mount either a light or mic. and it comes with the bolt thingy to securely mount the camera to the handle!
