Camera man smoked by snowboarder in Big Air comp

i feel like that boarders crash couldve been a lot worse if they didnt collide lol. straight decked out on his back.
 
I clicked the link to watch that, found Youtube was blocked, and then by some miracle guessed the username and password.
 
dammn my friend rodeo'd into me when i was filming him off the knuckle of a jump in febuary. shits gnarly, we were both fine but ya gotta be careful
 
everyones laughing after he says the insurance thing while the snowboarders laying at the bottom of the landing like he got hit by a train.

Here's my claim, Im in the blue shirt w/ white helmet on the right

but anyways.The camera man, Nick, is a friend of mine. He was looking through the viewfinder the whole time the snowboarder was coming at him in the air. Which is why he didn't realize he was that close, cuz viewfinders mess with your depth perception a bit. But Nick caught the snowboard across his forearms and has two gna-rbruises and a couple scratches but he's ok. His camera is DESTROYED, literally 38 pieces. but the footage is still fine, and viewable.
 
i was laughing cause of the fact Nick got wrecked and he came out fine. I give my boys props for shit like that.
 
So crazy! I was above at the drop in when it happened and we all thought he was done for. So gnarly to watch it happen though. I talked to the snowboarder later and he was fine, hurting a bit but ok overall. He said he just got hung up on his edge and then hit a soft spot right at the end of the lip. Glad everyone made it out ok...
 
I was there for that, It was scary as shit. I talked to him later, and he was so stoked because he got the shot of the day, and he gets a new camera on the insurance company. He said that the camera was getting pretty old too.
 
i was gonna say, that looked like MW Superpark, lots of people got worked that weekend. like a few were hospitalized.

Thats no joke. Friday I happened to be standing in the wrong place at the wrong time and watched a snowboarder get massively fucked up. He hit the dfd to extra down rail, but the two rails weren't welded together yet and the first one shifted under the other. Board caught and he got whiplashed so hard. Blood pouring out his mouth and nose, unconcious, hanging by his board still.. Bad, and Im standing there thinking jesus fucking christ thats bad. Definitely harshed the vibe of friday. I hope hes doing better, cause last I heard he was still in a coma.
