my dad's bday is next weekend so my mom and i decided that we are going to get him a nice camera.

My mom doesnt want to spend more than 400$ so what is the best camera i can get for 400$ and under.

I was lookin at digital slr's but most of them are more expensive than the budget and i dont really know that much about photography. realistically im goin to be using it more than my dad so the camera should be able to deal with motion good b/c im gonna use it alot for skiing and skimboarding

well slr's are far and away the best, you can maybe get a body and kit lens for under 400, but then you're gonna buy more lenses, a tripod, and tons of other shit to go with it so it'll end up being a large investment but way way worth it. if you want to get him a point and shoot then look into the canon g9 or g10, my parents got a g9 and it takes some nice pictures but maybe try to spend a little more and get an slr

no I dont. but from reading the specs its a fairly easy to use camera, and I assume you or your mom and dad would want to use the camera for some video recording, which SLR's do not have. and the shutter speed is still fast enough that youd be able to take pictures of skiers in motion at the right settings, and its in your price range

hahah 1/2500 is extremely fast.. you probably wont need to shoot that fast unless your using an iso over 3200..

buy this.. good camera, and hes a legit seller..

dont buy a fake dslr.. they serve very little purpose..
