So i just recently started my 2nd semester this school year and I'm in a digital photo class, and I wanna buy a camera to help my chances of getting a good grade in this class.
I love that this camera has HD Video as well, but does anyone know what video editing/importing software you must have for this?
And any additional input from people that have this or are familiar with it?
thanks +k

lol you want to buy a 700$ camera for one semester so you can maybe get a good grade?
Im pretty sure the school will loan you one

If video is important to you, you may want to wait for the t2i to come out. They just announced it, but i don't think they have set a release date yet.

video saves to disc, so there is no "importing" as far as editing, It may have come with the canon equivalent of windows movie maker or imovie...

they will, but im also really into photography, plus i already had a nikon d40 before. but it was stolen. and i've always wanted another one since then, and i see this being a good time to get back into it...

just saw that its scheduled to be available sometime in march, possibly a little later. If i were you i'd definitely wait until its released and just borrow one from the school in the meantime.

its not the wand, its the magician.

in other words, be creative.. having a good camera will help but is not everything

the t2i just came out last week, if you haven't already bought a camera I would say go out and get that

^did you not watch the video? I thought it was appropriate considering that it was pretty much used in the exact same context....
just watch the video...

if you have experience using a dslr, are in a photo class and "want to get back into it" even though you said you wanted it to get a good grade in the class... it seems like a better alternative would be to get a used higher end used dslr, maybe a canon 50D or stay with nikon and pick up a used d90 if video is important to you...
