Camera Filters.

UV isnt useful at all except to protect a lens from getting scratched...I have them on my lenses for that purpose only but never shoot with them. You actually will get a better picture with nothing than with a UV filter. A circular polarizing filter is where its at...it will add a lot of saturation to your colors. Basically the sky will be bluer and the clothes people wear will be brighter. Remember that most polarizing require you to increase your F stop by about 2 since they decrease the amount of light let through. Pretty much I shoot polarizing all the time while shooting ski stuff except for night time and for my fisheye and super wide angle lenses since the fisheye doesnt fit filters and the wide angle you can see the ring of the filter. Oh if you shoot black and white get a red 25 filter...without it snow and clouds give a ski picture a super washed out affect.

A brave man will not live forever but a coward will never live.

yea i use a polarizer whenever i shoot skiing, i find it takes alot of the glare off the snow and gives the sky an really nice deeper blue colour
