Camera Advice

Hi, im looknig for a camera. so let me tell you wat im looking to get out of it and then you can give me advice? deal? ok. So right now i have a Minolta camera, using film, but i realy want a digital camera with a manual zoom and f-stops and shutter speeds, i really like taking my own photos, not have the digital camera take them for me. Price is pretty importan but not number 1. Im looking for high quality phtos that i can blow up to 8 x 11. So any advice or recomendations would be great!!

I was about to type out a long thing for ya but then realized that you could just scroll down throught the first 3 pages of M & A and find your question asked multiple times. Go to dpreview.com and read up on them yourself. I would suggest a used Canon 20d or a Nikon D70s

if its a monolta slr get the new sony alpha dslr cus you can use the monolta lenses on it cus sony bought them out plus sony has stabilization built into the body so you dont have to buy the more expensive lenses with it. its about 900 regular with kit the kit lens but you can find it for around 800 on sale places
