Camelback

They make you buy a Park Pass beginning December 29th? That is fucking lame.

What's the best Pocono mountain to hit today/tomorrow the 28th? Blue Mountain has like 4 trails open. Bear Creek isn't open yet. I'd rather not have to drive 2+ hours but it's looking like that to get to Big Boulder as their website says 4 terrain parks open.

Where you fellow NSers skiing right now?

i hace a season pass to both camelback and big boulder. do yourself a favor and dont go to camelback. however many trails they claim to have- cut it in half. half of em are just bogus cut through trails that are barely 100 feet long. they have four features in their terrain park...if you wanna call em features, and every landing is straight ice. big boulder has kicked ass so far, ive rode there 11 times this year and really havnt been disappointed yet. about 10ish features on freedom and i think they have potential to build a jump this weekend. i really cant give any input on blue though cause i havnt been there this year

Thanks dude.

I am actually hitting Big Boulder tomorrow. I am contemplating buying the College pass there but I don't know if I'll get out the 10-15 times necessary to make it worth it.

How far of a drive do you think is too far for a season pass? BB is a little under 2 hours from my apartment so not terrible but not sure if I'll make that drive 15 times this season.

It's $10. Is that really that much? I'll agree that the state of their park is pretty bad right now (not that they have anything special when the season really gets rolling). If CBK's park frustrates you that much, you can spend well over $10 in gas driving all the way out to jfbb. Blue won't have anything substantial for a while yet either since they have to blow a metric fuck-ton of snow on Sidewinder.

JFBB and CBK are about equidistant from me. Took me 3 hours to get to BB the other day in the snow which fucking sucked.

I think I'm just gonna stick with Bear Creek and Blue. Driving more than 90 minutes after a day full of skiing and drinking kind of sucks.

It would be a matter of time before i fell asleep at the wheel and crashed with a drive like that. CBK and Blue are each like 35 minutes from me

Camelback just did a build on Jan 2nd. They still only have a total of about 9 features, but the new build is set up really well and the landings are legit.

If you are planning on riding only park BB is always going to be a better choice if you can handle the longer drive. Boulder has $15 college pass nights on weds and I think they are doing $15 or $25 passes for Sun. night too.

The only reason I purchased a Cb season pass is it's a little bigger of a hill and the preason $199 price tag couldnt be beat. They have a new guy building features there and with what the snowmakers have given him I think he's doing a good job. Cb also has a ton of natural terrain that is fun to ride if you know where to look for it.
