ok so heres my problem im a photographer by this season i want to do some filming but i have no idea about camcorders so any help on what i should be looking for would be a huge help cheers

i dont wana be that guy dude but theres a shit ton of threads on this allready, but to give you a little start look into the canon hv30, thats what the majority of people will tell you, there also panasonics sd100 some good sonys out there just do a little research, first you have to decide what kind of memory you want to record to, flash, harddrive, dv onnce you think about that you can narrow your search down a little but good luck man

flash memory is like what you have in your digital camera or anything lie that in my video camera i have a 16 gig card im getting a 32gig and on high quality i can get 4 hours of footage on one card, hard drive memory is like what you find in you computer or whatever its a solid state, however they make hard drives that go up to 100+ gigs so you can get a ton of footage, then there mini dv, like what the hv20, 30 and 40 there arent many consumer cams that use it anymore but its i like it, its all personal preferance, i would get a hard drive or (hdd) cam bcasue if your out and drop ur cam or something you can lose all ur stuff unlike flash or dv if the cam get busted u still have the footy
