i really hate to do this, i've had a good run on NS of not being fucked over or vice versa, but it's been long enough with scott. he's a good guy, all his friends say he's legit, but he just NEVER gets around to doing anything, i dunno if he leaves too little time, thinks things will take shorter than they do, or whatever but it takes him forever to accomplish a simple task. and so the story goes:
*optional read*back in late september i posted a thread wanting to trade some STH16's for FKS or something. so he pm's me about doing a trade. i asked him to bend the brakes on the 155's and we had a deal. i sent him my bindings and he got them and he said he was in the process of bending mine. after about a week of pushing him i got him to respond that he shipped them out. the hardest part about dealing with him is that all of my pm's to him say (not read) even if he clearly has, so this made it even harder. after another prolonged period of time i found out he lied about shipping them and that he had in fact broken the brakes. i'm fine with that, just as long as he gets around to bending some new ones. finally on october 25th i receive the bindings, so that's about a month turnaround time, not the end of the world. this is just to let you know that he takes a REALLY long time to do things*end optional read*
so amidst our conversations he mentioned a pair of skis he had that i was interested in. the type of ski is not relevant. he got them cheap so i paid him $140 for them. on November 18th i sent him money for them, he said he'd ship them out. a few days later i got a pm saying he needed to sell to a friend so he was gonna refund my money. i was fine with it because i'd just found some cheap hellbents. i slowly reminded him over the next few weeks to refund my money, then he just dropped off the face of the earth. i got this pm from him after a lot of prodding:

after not hearing from him or paypal about my money for about a month i got his phone number and e-mail address. i got an e-mail back saying: "yo bro sorry about this, i moved to a new house without internet and i haven't been able to send the money, i'll do it asap"fine, i can understand that
it is now March 25th and still no money from him. he has stopped responding to my texts, he doesn't answer the phone, he doesn't respond to my e-mails, and he hasn't been online for over 30 days. i know he owes fouldsys a pair of ep pros as well.
I know this is not a very large sum of money but it's more the fact that it violates the trust we all put on each other when we agree to buy/sell/trade things. i view NS as a tight community and i've bought and sold a lot of stuff on here with no issues. when something like this comes up it's a slap in the face to my judgement of who i can trust. i know scott is legit, he's had many good transactions on here and he's a nice guy but something went wrong here
i know he lives in govy and is a patroller at hood. if anyone knows him, or lives in that area and can pay him a visit, it would be much appreciated
you can pm me for his phone number, e-mail address, and his p.o box # in govy if it hasn't changed
the internet excuse worked for a few weeks but internet cafe's do exist and plenty of places have wifi. this is unacceptable scott, get your shit together
 
I think the only option is to kill the guy.. no one fucks over no_steeze!

im not gonna bother with the fine details but im in the same boat. i sent him money for skis in november i think and wasnt expecting to receive them until the end of february. so its been a month since they were supposed to arrive. i have dealt with him several times before and i know hes legit. i havnt lost communication entirely however i havnt heared from him since march 5th where he said he talked to customs(i thought they got held up so he inquired allegedly) and said they would be here any day now. since then ive texted him several times and made dozens of phone calls but he never picks up. if anyone knows another way to get a hold of him besides email or cell phone let us know please. if anyone knows his boss or landlord or something their info would suffice as well.
 
I am also a victim of freeskimccoy, I i bought a pair of goggles off him back in november, he said he'd ship them asap, i never got them, i pm'ed him about 10 times. No replies later on he told me hed send me back the money through Paypal and i havent got that either. I filled out a complant but it was too late. I still have no goggles to date so same boat as you guys i guess?
 
wow that really sucks alex and frasier. if i was 16, i would make the 5 hour drive just for you guys, but sadly i can not. iggy skis at hood tho. im sure he can help you out
 
that's very bad form, shit like this shouldn't happen. Someone get in contact with this guy and get some payment happening!
 
That sucks man. I really hate to hear that.

And i dont know if it is too late, but i wanna just put in that i have done 2 transactions with him and never had a problem doing business with him.

I did, however, have the same problem of communication with him.

Hopefully everything works out for you OK man. I hate to see this happen, especially to someone who contributes so much to this site and is such a good guy.
 
shitty deal guys. I actually sold a suit to him in person early this year and had no issues. I know a few people who work up there - maybe I can see if I can find out what the deal is.
 
Yep I also have been screwed over by this guy. I bought a pair of poles off him in November as well and still haven't received them. I've tried e-mailing, calling, and texting and have not gotten one single reply from him. My purchase wasn't big so I'm not that pissed off but if he's scamming people out of skis thats a big problem.
 
i met him at camp and my buddie bought some skis off him seemed legit but seriously hes good friends with nolan at MHSSC and he video tapes for there sessions so maybe try and call them
 
After seeing this thread, I don't think anyone can say he is "legit". Regardless of whether it is on purpose or not, he has the worst case of unprofessionalism. Refunding a payment takes maybe one whole minute, if the internet is being slow. The house excuse is exactly that; an avoidance of blame. Go to a public library, go to a coffee shop, actually call up the internet provider and have service at your house. He does seem like a nice guy, but there isn't an excuse and he should be paying back extra to make up for this.

Scott - grow up a little bit. Months later, really?
 
there is a library 10 miles away, right along 26. I know because it is next to the liquor store.

shredtillurdead said thatwhen i was at mhssc i got wifi at hucks and one other place, i don't remember thoi think the cafe next to high cascade may have wifi also
 
Not really a solution but if you want him to call you leave him a message saying you will keep calling and leaving long messages befor hanging up the phone until u get ur money. Then just keep leaveing him the longest message possible, that way he cant listen to any messages befor listening to all yours first. That would piss me off enough to pay someone back
 
true but it would eventualy fill ur phone up and you wouldnt be able to get any messages i think at that point you dont even get texts, if i win the lottery though i will fly you to where ever he is to find him and get your money back it would be an epic journey
 
I think calling Scott "ligit" is out of the question after seeing all of his bad transactions. I really hate seeing this happen and hope you guys get your money and stuff from him.

Wow, I'm so glad I'm not the only one in this boat. I sent him a pair of p18 heelpieces to be bent (didn't send the whole binding for obvious reasons) back in december and although I've maintained communication with him since then, I still have not received the bindings. Now, I find that texting or calling is the only way to keep in touch with him, but since I've sent the bindings the excuses for that were that, first, he is in the middle of a move and he doesn't have internet, then, that he recently got hurt in an accident, and now, after telling me he sent my bindings, that the post office is kinda screwing things up. He's seems like a good guy and I definitely looked into his selling/buying background when i first sent him my shit, but I will agree that if you're going to do business with people, you need to keep communication going. That's good to hear though that Nolan from MHSSC knows him and I think I'm gonna hit up Nolan and see if he can give me any info. I've been trying to get a pair of these bindings on my Hellbents forever and I really want to believe he's legit so I can mount them on my skis, but I want to make sure.
