Callout: kbraynin

I really hate to do this, but I feel it is kind of necessary at this point...
I made an arrangement with kbraynin to purchase a 2xlt Causwell format jacket about a month and bit ago, and still don't know whether it has been shipped, but I suspect not. I paid $227 usd through paypal, and have now opened a dispute but have not yet filed a claim. I have been told twice that the jacket would be shipped that day and to look for the tracking number in the afternoon, never got any tracking numbers. He had positive feedback on his profile, gave me his personal info and was an active member, which were all goods signs for dealing with him. He seems like a very nice guy, and to be honest I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and believe that he did intend to ship the jacket, but has had some personal issues to deal with.
His last NS login was October 27th I think so he has not replied to PMs on here, and I have also sent him a message on Facebook which has not been replied to, however his profile picture has subsequently changed which means he has been active, but simply not replied to the message for whatever reason.
If anyone knows kbraynin (or lives in Draper, Utah) and could help me out it would be so appreciated. I'd like my jacket but it is getting dangerously close to the paypal deadline and thus if I can get my money back I would like that too.
Thanks for reading
Dave

He could be in the hospital or something, so don't file a claim just yet.

I've never dealt with this guy, but NSers are usually pretty legit when they're selling stuff. My buddy was buying Ace of Spades on here, and was supposed to have them by the summer for his trip to Chile, but the guy kept saying the got lost in the mail, just keep waiting. But when the guy found out they never came and my bud didn't have them for his trip, he felt really bad and sent him a new pair of Spades and a brand new Orage Baxter jacket with it. So just wait as long as you can :)

You can't base the standards of all of newschoolers on your experience with one member. There are a ton of very legit, very friendly members on here that I would expect to do something like that. However, this guy, kbraynin, only has 48 posts and only one post in his feedback and that was when he bought something. Nobody on here has had experience buying from him. I don't want to seem like a hard ass but 227$ is a lot of money and if he was getting on without responding to his PM's or not responding on facebook I might file the claim. Shipping from even California to Maine shouldn't take a month.

thanks to both of you^
i think his feedback referenced something that he sold though, otherwise I wouldn't have bought. I agree 227 US is a lot, but I also live in Toronto Ontario, so shipping wasn't going to be cheap, and it was the jacket that I wanted for this season (I actually sold much of my own gear to pay for it as I'm in my last semester of University) so I figured it would be worth it.
Anyways, any help is appreciated
Thanks

Ah, sorry that was my mistake. Just read through his feedback really fast and at first glance it looked like he had bought the EG2's. At this point it's all up to you, as that paypal date gets closer and he doesn't keep responding I might get more and more skeptical. This thread might just push him over the top to let you really know what's up. The shipping time from Utah to Canada still shouldn't take a month.

No worries and thanks again, I already had you at 10/10. Any help here is appreciated. I'm used to selling on NS but this was my first buy, hopefully it gets resolved easily.

Pm some of his friends, if they know him personally, ask them for his cell number, thats what i did when i had a sale go bad, and it was only when i freaked the shit of him for getting his number that he sent what i bought.

But other than that, just be cautious.

You did the right thing in asking for some of his personal info. This is a requirement when dealing with newer members or no feedback.

Just wait it out and keep us updated, when shit like this goes down, NS usually does something about it.

Search "ghettoballer" and you'll know exactly what im talking about.

This was totally my fault for lagging in shipment time. I did ship this morning and contacted Dave with a proper shipping number. He'll be getting he jacket this friday though fedex. I promise im not a bad guy, jut a series of unfortunate events led to a delay. I dont get on NS to much except to try to find a deal from someone selling or to sell some of my own stuff. Hopefully this clarifies some stuff for everybody. I'd love to regain everyone's trust on here for being to come through on sales! I do appreciate the concern and the positive feedback from dave and a few others of waiting just a bit, although i do claim full responsibility for not shipping sooner.
