Callout- BryantPhoto

Alright so not really a typical callout i sent money never got my stuff, don't know where it is... blah blah blah. I sent my money and knew within an hour that i wasn't getting my item.Story goes as many of you may know I had been looking for bindings and BrantPhoto agreed to sell me his. Everything was set, I just waiting to get paid from someone else on Paypal that night, ended up only getting it the next morning but i sent it out right away after.

Here's where the issue comes in. I told him I sent the money only to get a lovely message back saying that he decided to sell last minute to his roomate...much appreciated, but that the money had not passed through his paypal so all was fine. Although upon checking my account after work, it was completed on my end. I asked BryantPhoto what was up and for a couple days continued with it never showed. I left it just in case it took longer somehow but after 3-4 days I was getting confused, Paypal never takes that long, especially with money in the accout. Put it to a dispute, still nothing, waited another couple days, he kept saying it didn't show. Kept giving him the benefit of the doubt. Finally I called and Paypal said to put it to a claim as it would be the easiest way for him to refund the money. Been 10 days since i moved to a claim, he hasn't done anything that got the money back to me, so basically he's either been getting the worst Paypal employees ever helping him or he's been lying the whole time.

Moral of the story, ALWAYS PAY AS GOODS ON PAYPAL. This guy has a million post on NS and only good feedback basically but shit happens. I don't know what happened but I know i'm getting my money back tomorrow because I paid as goods, otherwise my money was lost. Buy from him at your own risk but I will not be again.

I got screwed by this kid a couple years ago. People assume because he has the orange name and a lot of posts that he's legit but he has been sketchy in the past.

I've had problems with him to.. i ordered some die cuts from him and a few weeks passed and i contacted him about it and he said his cutter had broke. being in no rush i said no worries just let me know when you get the new one in and send me my stickers. well a few more weeks went by and no PM's or anything so i sent another and nothing so i gave up. i wasn't to worried about it cause it was only 10$ but you shouldn't do that to someone regardless. i most certainly won't be buying from him ever again.

As far as I'm aware with today being the 10th day of my claim, and him never having responded to Paypal, I'll be getting my money back tomorrow. I had checked his feedback too which all looked good. If anyone else has actually been getting scammed by this guy then fill up his feedback with the truth, he's a sketchy kid and ppl shoudln't deal with him.

Need to participate in the 1st page goodness of this thread so I will lay down my lawn chair and take a seat. Now back on to topic I feel for you OP and hope everything can get worked out!

Did you miss this? Posted it on his feedback when I got scammed

"Sold be a Crowbar setup, saying it had an emerald lens. When I received it, it came with a Hi Persimmon lens. When I brought it up, he referenced his thread where he corrected himself (saying it was actually a Hi Persimmon lens) AFTER I paid. Did not contact me to tell me that the lens was not in fact emerald. I only bought the Cbars for the lens. When I brought up the discrepancy after receiving the Cbars, he blamed it on me and gave me no restitution.

QUADRUPLE CHECK ALL FACTS BEFORE BUYING FROM HIM"

Lol I thought I had all the facts. Have his cell # and everything which he's been texting with me with the past weeks even. He just never sent the bindings to me and has been lying about having my money in his paypal ever since i sent it. Didn't want to assume or rush anything but now having been through the whole process, aside from actually getting my money back, feel free saying the guy has been screwing with me the whole time and was just too dumb to admit it and either way i'm getting my money back and now he's getting a bad rep on NS and Paypal.

I have multiple times, and to check his Paypal, and to call Paypal. When non of that worked i made a dispute, same story, move to a claim, same story. Said he checked all the time, called and they said they couldn't do anything cuz it was a saturday, called again said they would process the next day... blah blah blah, 2 weeks later nothing in my account. Tomorrow Paypal will do it for me. How dumb does he think ppl are? I might be trusting, but not dumb.

^yeah boi, glad you've semi-sorted it out.

Threads incase bryantphoto responds up i hurr

Wow, just saw this. Great to see he leaves out a lot of facts. I admit to committing to selling this item to him... no question about that. But in respect to him, he paid before our deal was ever completed via pm's. He wanted pictures before he purchased, I logged off ns and ended up selling to my roommate and then going to bed, and woke up the next morning to a message saying that he sent the payment without pictures...

In regards to the paypal situation, I was completely compliant with him throughout the entire process, and he seemed to never be happy. We texted daily about the situation. I called paypal on multiple occasions in regards to the issue. His payment was never visible in my paypal account. I called customer service and they were on the same page as I, and said that they would get it fixed and reverse the transaction, but I didn't have the best service as they didn't actually complete the reversal. So our conclusion was to just let the 10 days run out for money claim via paypal, and at that point, he received his total amount back, no harm done. How was I screwing you with money that was never removed from my paypal. Was I doing it for amusement? No.

Stickers: My vinyl cutter did break. Many people can attest to that, and the huge ordeal I had with USCutter's customer service on getting a replacement and ending with a refund 8 months later. And on at least 4 different occasions, I sent you messages explaining the update in the cutter situation and offering to refund you the cash, and notify you when it was fixed. And every time you said no. I can dig up those pm's if you're interested..

Goggles: The lens discrepancy was changed before you ever purchased the goggles. And you were aware of this.

Theft: That was dealt with a long time ago. And was settled due to being my roomate for gods sake. And the rest was dealt with Burlington police, along with Massachusetts state police and campus police due to my numerous threats of burning my house down, people coming to my house and threatening my father, and a restraining order.

Alright you have waaayyy to many callouts man. If you're telling the truth then the least you coulda done is respond quickly, be more straight forward. Remember you're dealing with someones hard earned money.

You seem like an honest guy, but in all your dealings on newschoolers i dont really understand how so many of them can go wrong.

The seller is responsible for making the buyer happy. Getting things shipped on time, the item being in the condition described etc... So it's on you if the buyer isn't happy, unless it's an outrageous claim.

You don't need to search for callouts, just respond to pms with your buyer.

I have always dealt with and responds to buyers messages. It is the "mob dynamic" that seems to bring up old issues that were handled. People see one thing that a "gold name" did wrong, people think we can do no wrong, I'm a normal person, and everyone freaks out.

You either have the worst luck known to man kind.... Or your one sketchy mother fucker.

I don't know all the facts - but you have way to many "coincidental" accidents. It's a shame because people will continue to buy from you under the assumption that the orange name carries a sense of dignity and truthfulness within the skiing/newschoolers community.

It isn't a mob dynamic at all. B/S/T is an at your own risk forum, so inherently people are going to bring old issues up, because you're going to be judged on how you've handled old issues, or why there are even issues to begin with.

Mods do not ban people after they have scammed, or have been caught up in shady situations. Because these people are not banned, the only recourse legitimate members have, is to compare information and support each other. You've had a lot of 'old issues' - when these issues are brought up, the responsibility is on you - not other members of the community.

He has a point though. Ya newschoolers has kinda jumped at this kid in the past. For some illegitimate reasons i will admit, especially with the theft.

But again it is his responsibility to make the deal go smoothly. It always seems to be on his end that things go wrong...

I completely agree, I just thought I'd point out that callout threads almost always turn into an online box/shit sending mob of angry Newschoolers.

I'm just got my money back with the completion of the claim. Our agreement was not to just wait out the 10 days, that was the max that i would have to wait as that is Paypals policy. He was supposed to have called Paypal and have them do the refund immediately, this never happened. Haven't heard from him since Friday and that was simply because I gave up and just decided to wait out the last 3 days. I have no proof what so ever that he tried to steal from me, nor am I saying that he, but I have never heard of a company that big screwing up with someones money that many times within a 2 week span and not try to fix it... And for as much as he said he tried to contact Paypal, for the 10 day period of the claim the status that i saw was waiting for sellers response, aka he never spoke to them.

I was talking specifically about this thread. The people jumping all over him were people that remembered his previous call out threads, or made the previous call out threads. He was talking about a mob mentality on his thread, I was responding.
