Hey NS, so I'm hoping I can get a little help from you guys. So I recently purchased some skis with bindings from BBQKittenWings. We had talked for a while about me buying them, and after a couple months I finally decided to do it. We agreed on $350 plus shipping.

The day before he sent them out he calculated the estimated shipping online. It was super expensive $106. He then also upcharged me because of paypal charges, but I said I'd pay it, I had come this far so I wanted to get them regardless, I told him to let me know how much shipping actually costed once he shipped them out, I did this hoping he would be willing to send me back at least part of the difference in price from his estimation. 783596.png783597.png783598.png

After being ignored for a while on facebook, I got his phone number and started texting him.

Finally he responded, but completely dodged the question of the money.

I have now recieved the skis, but I am short about $90 that I think I should get back. Please let me know if you think I'm being ridiculous with my request. If anyone can help me please let me know, if you know him maybe say something if you'd be so kind.

it definitely does, kid essentially robbed him of $58(?) dollars. i've seen callout threads for stuff way cheaper than that that never got shipped
 
How would you get 92 bucks back? Wouldn't it be 58? Also how long has it been since this? I bought bindings 3 months ago and they haven't came, yet still believing they are because a month ago he texted me saying he just got back from being out of the country for 5 weeks and the bidings were returned to him because of box damage. Im not sure if he's resent them yet but you never know what ppl are doing on here. I just want those bindings lol... or my money back. Regardless, I'm sure you'll get it back, and you are lucky it wasn't so much, if you get a dime back you should be happy
 
At the end of the day it was $58, ive been scammed $150 on NS. You got the skis, you made out pretty well. id say cut your loses and forget about it. enjoy the skis and thats that.
 
My bad, must've left something out of the thread, checked my bank statements and it said I paid $489.08 to him. Some of it was probably PayPal fees. I don't even need all of it back, but some amount of compensation would be nice.

And I ran the callout idea by some other people before posting, wasn't totally sure if this warranted one. Idk I just want some money back.

want $58 bucks back? go work 3 hours. we decided on a total price. it was paid. shipping ended up being cheaper. there were no lies. i am sorry i cant compensate you. There was no robbery or false play.

If you decided on $100 for shipping and it was $82 then a refund wouldn't be warranted but $58 over on shipping is fairly ridiculous. Why do you have to be a piece of shit about this? Send the kid $40, call it good, and maybe you can salvage your rep on here. That is, unless you like being a piece of shit, which from the looks of it you do.

Maybe i read the texts fast, but i appears that you assumed you'd get the difference back, but the seller didn't agree to that.

It was dumb of him to say how much he actually paid for shipping, but i see this as a story with two sides, and unfortunately since he has the cash and possession is 9/10ths of the law it appears you are outta luck.
 
Alright, so it wouldn't be $92, the final price was $475 which if my math is correct would be around $83 above what it should be 475 - (350+42).

They settled on a price of an estimation of shipping. The shipping was less than expected so you should give x amount back. If you're at a bar and give someone 10 bucks to buy you a drink and the drink is only 6 bucks you give that 4 bucks back. Same principal here.

In what world does 3 hours of work = 58$ ? get your head outta your ass and just give him his money back. Clearly you are 'blessed' in that you can make it all back in three hours.
 
If he doesn't do the right thing and refund you in a day or two, post his number up on here. Im sure NS will be more than happy to harass him for shits and giggles. Or post his number on One Direction's instagram, either will turn out pretty much the same

As fun as this could be it's not worth it, I've talked with him separately, he fucked up he realizes it, if he comes upon the opportunity to even things out then by all means he can. But for now it's whatever, everyone gets dicked every once in a while

So i bought skis from Big_Spence over the summer and the kid ended up getting railed with shipping costs. Something like he only would've made like $20 off of the skis. I'm not a shitty human being so I ended up sending him some extra money (just what i could afford because i'm a broke ass college student). It doesn't take that much not to be a douche about things, give the kid a little bit of money and call it a day.

Sure, keeping the money goes against the NSer code of hooking a guy up, but at the end of the day, they both agreed on a price. Its a bit shady, but it certainly isnt stealing.

I hope mr mittens realizes that stealing 60 bucks isn't gonna compensate for the amount of money he wont make selling stuff. because hopefully no one is stupidenough to buy anything from this guy unless he pays the kid his 60 bucks.

Now that i realize it I sold sorrymrmittens a vest last month. Yah, you payed for it, and i actually ended up paying for the fee. Yes i shipped that shit away, and yes I didnt fucking overcharge you for shipping by 58 fucking dollars. How the fuck o you screw that up so fucking bad in the first place. Second, don't be an ass.
