im looking into it this summer aand wondering if this (http://www.bcsurf.com/products2.cfm/ID/269208) is a good beginning board/deal? any other oner that would be good or are cheaper (yes i know about kracked skulls)

honeslty this is my third year longboarding and i still ride KS love the boards. i also have a dervish though

do you want it just because it has bob marley on it? honestly, that board is a rip off. you can get a much better and high performance board for a similar price and not look like a complete tool. My suggestion is go on silverfish and look through their classified, you can get good deals on top boards and the people there know their shit.

exactly my thoughts on the price, rip off for what it is (good board, bad price), just look around the internet, you can get anything cheap if you look for it hard enough.

Word to all of that, if you get a good board as your first one, you'll just be able to enjoy learning on and getting used to a high quality deck. I started with a sector nine, broke it within a year, and now ride a sliding/dh oriented EarthWing, which I absolutely love. If you're already going to pay 180 for a board, why not pay another 20 or 30 bucks and get something that you can keep, instead of having to upgrade in six months?

yo man dont a sector nine their super expensive and are like the burton of longboarding i got a longboard last summer and one of my buddies whos been long boarding for a while said never get a sector nine get something else u. and to shoot for something thats under like two hundred dollars
