I smoke pretty rarely and don't really know anything about stuff like this, so that's why I'm asking for help. But to make a long story short, I have a pair of cheap wayfarer sunglasses which are covered in kief, and I'm trying to scrape it all off so I can smoke it. Thing is, I'm having trouble getting the bulk of it out of the nooks and crannies (around the hinges, on the outsides of the lenses, and in the arch over the nose), and a lot is getting caked up and sticking to the plastic frames and is hard to get off. So I'm asking for advice on how to get all of it out. Are there any ways I can dissolve it off, or any tools which are particularly good at getting it off? I've never really handled keif before so you'll have to bear with my lack of knowledge. Thanks in advance for any tips you provide.

 
i let my friend borrow my rain jacket on 4/20 and left my sunglasses in the pocket. he was being a high motherfucker and bought a couple grams from a kid who didnt have any bags, so he just put the nugs in the pocket of the rain jacket with my sunglasses, then forgot about it, presumably. today i put on the jacket and found all the weed in my pocket which was completely dry and crumbled apart. i gave it all back to him, but it left a ton of keif on my glasses and in the bottom of the pocket.
 
This whole post sounds ridiculous and I want to ask why they're covered in kief but we all do stupid shit sometimes so I wont judge.

heres what youre gonna wanna do.

Acquire :

1 Ziplock bag

1 non scratch-able plate (think pyrex)

rubbing alcohol (91%+)

1 razor blade

1- Put sunglasses in bag with a little rubbing alch, you wont need more then half a shot glass worth

2- Close up baggie, shake the bag a little, and put the bag under running hot water (or a dish filled with hot water) to warm the alch inside of it

3- Once alch has warmed up, shake the everliving fuck out of the bag until all the kief comes loose

4- remove sunglasses from bag, pour the alch on to the plate you have and let it evaporate overnight

5- use razor to scrap all the good stuff and enjoy
 
just wash if off the sunglasses if it wont come off easily. its probably not enough to get you very high anyways.
 
mmm didnt really think about this.. they are made from cellulose acetate which is effected by certain solvents such as acetone. Isopropyl might effect it but I doubt it in such a short term. Im pretty sure they are also protected by a clear coat, I used rubbing alch to clean some grime off my pair once and it was fine.

regardless, OP will just get super high on some plastic if it does break it down
 
Try taking a tooth pic and putting a micro fiber cleaning cloth over one of the ends. Then just start picking
 
Honestly, Idk if the whole process of using alcohol and the bag is necessary. Just get as much as you can out with a credit card or a dulled razor blade or something slim that is a bit durable and try to scrape as much as you can out.

Do what you want man, but is that amount of keef really worth it?
 
put in bag of water. shake well.

take glasses out.

You have clean glasses and you can buy yourself some non-hurting weed.

i dont think you will be get a smokable quantity of iso hash from the shit caked onto your sunglasses...

iso will get it all off but i wouldnt bother trying to evaporate and smoke the tiny tiny amount of "hash" you would have
 
Instead of trying to get a bit of keif from your sunglasses, u should just have taken a gram or so from the weed you found in your pocket. After all, he got your sunglasses dirty.
