Calling all Park City Rippers

Hey guys,

I’m headed out to park city this week for spring break, I’ve been going there for quite a while now and wanna know about must hit areas on the mountain. IM not asking for the coordinates of your favorite sidecountry jump or anything too specific, although feel free... but seriously, what are some must hit zones in the wasatch area. I’ll be spending a day or two in Park city, as weel as a day at canyons, brihgton, alta, or possibly snowbird. I wanna really do it big this year and slash some killer runs.

Thanks a lot and take it easy

Out of all the resorts, the PC area ones are in absolutely horrible shape. PC closed all of the upper mtn Jupiter terrain cuz its just too warm and dangerous to ski it, patrol was telling us there was a literal river running down main bowl under the snow off of Jupiter chair over the weekend, probably wont be open the rest of year unless we get a freak amount of snow and colder temps. lots of rocks/dirt poking through on groomers and other runs, so park laps are pretty much all you can do at PC/Canyons right now.

I skied snowbird yesterday and it is like a night and day difference in terms of conditions. its rather firm spring snow but it stays pretty nice up there. mineral basin was slushy and sloppy but it made for some good fun. the cottonwood resorts are definitely where you should spend your break if you wanna get some good skiing in. I honestly doubt PC will be making their scheduled closing date considering all these 50-60 degree days all week long.

its still classic Utah spring skiing though. warm weather, soft snow, and lots of beers consumed/joints smoked. always a good time.

This guy nailed it man, if you want good snow head up to Alta or snowbird. PC is looking really rough right now. The park is a lot of fun but the rest of the mountain is shit

I was there over my February break and I was amazed at how bad the snow level was, back east we got plenty of snow but we were going up the lift to get to Neff land and we were going over the bare ground. It snowed later in the week but now I see these edits of PC and damn its back to being naked. Its 25 and windy here in NH. Good luck with the snow, Id still rather ski PC then be freezing here.
