Calling all newschool gardeners!!!

so i am taking care of my neighbors plants for a week ,started yesterday, and i may have forgotten too turn off the sprinklers too there rock gardens, and it may have watered the gardens for the last 15 hours or so...

is everything pretty much fucked?

you are probably fine. just put dirt back on the plants since dirt probably washed away with the water.

as long as its been hot and dry, you're fine

What sorta rocks we talking here? If its some lava rocks and common pebbles you should be fine. If there is some flack stone you mite have caused slight erosion.

i dont garden but im pretty sure the only damage could be if the dirt was washed away, the plants won't die if you water them too much.

True. Now if there is some sedimentary rock or shale, you might have some problems. Contact your local geologist. If the rocks start growing too big from being over-watered you might have to prune them. I usually use a baseball bat and swing level at the growing rocks to create a nice even cut.

serious answer, the plants will be absolutely fine. It rains for more than 15 hours all the time. like said there may be soil eroded away but that's easily replaced.

the only thing that you don't exactly want that may cause the plants to brown in certain spots would be if they were getting watered in full on bring sunlight. most outdoor plants should be fine but certain ones can easily get burned when that happens.

but I'm saying they are completely fine.

sources since it's Newschoolers: at least 15 years gardening experience + 3 years so far of studying biology in university

I worked at a garden store. we watered the shit out of our plants. they were in pots though and pots dry up really fast with even the slightest amount of sun.

Don't you hate it when you post something hilarious and no one recognizes it?

I'll give you a lol for your trouble

CORE SHOT CITYouch
but OP is fail, you'll get mad moss on the rocks and you'll have to burn it off with a blowtorch. Not joking.

I'm not Gardner but yeah your fucked, nah but really they will be fine.Just don't water them for a few days depending on the temp.
