I posted this is regionals, but seeing as we're going in a couple days, and I'll get more responses here.

We got a couple cars full of kids ready to bring some rails up to some real snow and don't know where to go. We've read about St. Mary's and 4th of July, but don't know the status this late in the season; but we're fucking itching to ski. Looking for somewhere that won't require a multi-mile trudge with a rail!

Any advice would be awesome, thanks!

just wait a week or two and loveland/the basin will be open. any snow left over is going to be so solid you won't be able to dig, and AFAIK there hasn't really been any accumulating snow east of the sierras.

just wait for it,

4th of july is no go.....st mary's possibly, however, I was up there in late sept and the snow level was terribly low, the lowest ive ever seen in the last 3 years. However, with this snow you should prob be able to do something for sure. Its not a bad hike at all. like 15min to get to the snow.

dude don't go to st mary's now... there's gonna be so many fuckin bumps and valleys and shitty snow
just wait

I cant believe you kids are saying dont go. If my mountain had that we would have set up pvc rails be now and been having sessions.
