On April 12th I messaged him about a pair of crowbars he had for sale. Mentionned that I needed them to get to me before I left for Oregon on May 1st. ( Main reason is my goggles are curently fucked ) and only have a frame left and I though buying a pair is pretty much same price as buying only the lens.

On April 14th he told me they were available and I payed him with paypal directly.

On April 18th I asked if got shipped and he said yes.

I am leaving saturday morning for NYC and then going to Hood and the goggles arent here still so i messaged him about it.

He first said that he wrote the address wrong on the package so he had to sent them back. ( Typical lie)

Then after he changed his story saying he had no money to send them before last monday.

I dont even know if he really sent them. Bothom line is, I wont have goggles for Hood.

He then offered to pay a bit more for my family to send them to me in hood when they would get to my house. That is a great idea, although, they have not even made it to my house yet and they would take another week or so to get to Oregon after that. Not even taking under concideration that I am renting a vacation rental for a month and vacation rentals dont have Shipping adresses. I could always have it sent to a post office or something but I would still be without goggles for 2 weeks out of 4 in Oregon.

I told him that if they wouldnt get here tmrw , he would have to refund my money, and I would send his goggles back ( to my expense ) as soon as they would get here . ( Actually would have my mom do so ) . Therefor I could buy myself a lens at a shop in Oregon when i would get there. But he refused, and told me that I didnt understand, that he didnt have money because he has no job and so on...

The only other option I have is to declare fraud on his paypal account, which I think is pretty shitty to do.

He obviously acted very selfish about this, didnt care about the fact that I needed those for my trip.

I know his feedback is pretty clean but this is pretty shady to do, as I am leaving for Oregon this weekend and I have no goggles, I wouldve bough them off someone else if I knew this would happend. He also stopped answering me on facebook.

I think the rite thing to do is refund me my money ? what do you guys think?
 
Why would u call someone out when he is not scamming you and is still in communication with you?

Bittner is VERY legit, i think ive dealt with him 3 times now. please get this taken down and figure it out yourselves, there is no need to disgrace bittner just because he was slow at shipping
 
As far as I know he stopped communicating and refuses to find a better agreement. Im sorry he has made a mistake and his feedback is not as spotless as it ever was
 
Wow i get called out for this...

I sold you BRAND NEW splices for $60 shipped. I have little to no $$ at the moment and have to pay for gas etc with no job. I shipped as soon as i got the money to do it along with 3 other packages the same day when i finally had $$.

I offered to give you money for your mom to ship them to hood because i dont have enough money to my name to refund right now.

How about all that swag you promised along with the $60 for the goggles. I doubt that has been sent out and your leaving for hood so when will it? Do you see me making a callout thread...no. I didnt even ask if you had sent it i assumed it was on its way.

My feedback is legit in almost every post and i shipped the goggles and have the customs form to prove it. This is hardly worth a call out.

Feel free anyone to ask me any questions on this. Ill keep in good communication.

This explains everything. OP ur in Canada! shipping can be 2 weeks + on a good day! It was ur fault for waiting so long and buying goggles a week before u leave. This thread is retarted
 
Downside to buying stuff on NS as oppose to buying it new, it will never ship out as quickly, and you should always give it more time than usual. It does suck that you don't have your gear, but a call out thread wasn't needed, especially since bittner has already responded in this thread
 
waaaay too early to callout, and its not snowing at hood, you dont need goggles, just buy a $5 pair of sunglasses
 
You should start by replying to my messages, that would be a good start.

Now , whatever I bough from you has nothing to do with this. I payed you 60$, it doesnt cost more than 60$ to ship it to me, so you had enough money to ship them when I sent it to you.

Now I explained to you why your idea , as great as it can be, wont work for me. Since i wont get the goggles again for another 2 weeks ( 4 weeks after I payed you ) .

I dont have a postal address there, and I wont have the goggles for another 2 weeks. Id rather have my money back and buy myself a new lens or pair when I get to Oregon.

Im sorry your feedback is spotless , but people do make mistakes and this is just a lack of judgment from your part.

You shouldve asked the person at the post office when you sent them , when they were going to make it, if they werent, you shouldve gave me my money back.

I already sent you money, I told you I would send a couple more items aswell, to make up for 10$ , that is a very generous offer, Although I have not seen the goggles yet at my house. Of course I wasnt going to send you anything before I got them. We never agreed otherwise? dont turn this back on me, I am the one empty handed rite now. And you are the one looking like a fool, not answering my messages, so now that you have my attention, what will it be?
 
I have offered her a refund as well, just gonna have to be until i have adequate funds.

So buy my jiberish/other stuff!

I am on mobile and was in school i cant reply in 2 seconds to everything.

I offered you a refund when i have the money. Deal isnt going to get any sweeter than that because i cant make it.

I am hardly looking like a fool here. Sure maybe i couldve done this or done that but life isnt always a perfect scenario.

I dont know what else to say. Once someone buys my jiberish ill shoot you ur $60 back, and probably get a better deal selling those goggles anyways.

Im not really embarassed by anything. I payed, you didnt send them. Lack of judgement, thats all, Now keep your money, you seem like you really need it. Someone gave me a great idea, guess Ill rock some sunglasses for a while
 
Okay this is a load of horseshit. Shipping isn't always black and white, and when you ship to Canada things take longer. Something could be held up in customs for a few days or even longer then that. A post office lady told me something wouldn't get there till a certain day and it got there a week later. I've had things show up at my house within 1-2 days from across the country yet it takes a week or more to get a state over.

One cannot simply ask the postal clerks who most of which have no control over when exactly your package gets there.

He tried his best to get you your goggles on time, you took that risk by buying 60 dollar goggles on a ski site when you could've gone to a shop or bought them directly from a place that is within your country.

Bittner is no where close to being in the wrong here, buy some 5 dollar sunglasses and complain less, you're skiing hood for god sake.
 
On April 18th he told me they were sent.

Then he told me today that he had to send them monday this week.

If he had told me in the first place that he didnt have money to send them I wouldve told me to refund me
 
this, to me it looks like he sent them to you twice. and knowing the postal service, they aren't good at giving refund for their fuck ups. the first time he might've just screwed the address a bit and they got popped back to him a few days later. I bought a pair of boots from a friend of mine and the post office misread MT as MN and sent them to fucking Minnesota instead of Montana and then bounced the boots back to my friend in Nevada. Shit happens, deal with it.

part of the risks you take when you buy goggles of poor skier kids that reside in a different country on a ski websites b/s/t forum.

 
Why would you sell something if you don't have the money to ship the item out? I get everyone is all about ganging up on people to help your friend out, but when your friend is poor and can't afford to ship the stuff he's selling - you just look like an asshole to everyone outside your crew.

I had the 60 in my PAYPAL which i cannot directly access to ship. It must be trasfered into my bank account which takes 3-5 business days or more.

I think the situation is that he did have the money at first, sent it to the wrong address, then didn't have enough $ to send it out again.

ALSO, I've dealt with both the buyer and seller here, both legit members. It seems like timing was the issue here, not an adequite amount of time.

Going back to GSPhotography's initial question "I think the rite thing to do is refund me my money ? what do you guys think?" If I was the seller in this case and my buyer wasn't happy, I'd refund them, but I'm not in Bittner's situation. Look at it this way, sounds like Bittner is having a tough time getting through whatever personal financial problems he currently has. It's a moral decision on your part. Get through your vacation with an other pair of goggles that you purchase there or wear sunglasses and give Bittner the chance to send out the the New Splices that he sold to you for a genuine price. Or you can declare a refund from Bittner, wait for him to get a hold on the money, deal with sending back the Splices (if they are already on the way to you) and kinda feel like an ass. I know I would.

Either way you'll have to wait for something, the Splices to arrive or him to give you back your money. Think of it that way.

Hope you two can clear everything up .
