CALIFORNIA DECRIMINALIZES MARIJUANA

in colorado, posession of marijuana is a petty offense. posession of an ounce or less is a $100 fine. i love this state.

Not like there aren't already states that have done it.

Decriminalization is the most retarded idea. Something should be legal or illegal. Take the gray area out of things. By decriminalizing it it's almost as if they are encouraging people to break the law, or saying they don't really care that people will break the law. The whole step of decriminalization is stupid. It should go from illegal, to legal. Take the fucking tax revenue and save your state.

I can already feel Newschoolers and Teton Gravity users booking flights to Mammoth/Squaw after the date the bill is enacted and made legal.

For medical pot here in Michigan we passed it in November of 08 but I don't think it became a reality until spring of 2009.

Which NS'er wants to be the first dispensary/smoke-shop/bar/mini-concert hall/restaurant owner at Mammoth with me?

Oh yeah whats it like in states over on the west with smoking indoors. Legally here in Michigan the dispensaries can't even smoke inside because they banned tobacco use and even if the renters are cool with you turning their commercial property in to a pot shop, they are not cool with you smoking inside.

Can you smoke inside in Colorado/Washington/California? Or do you have to use a vaporizer like you do in Michigan at dispensaries?

Fuck Yeah. Arnold is Numero Uno.

But this shit should have happened like.. 35 years ago... at LEAST...

Whatevs. Prop 19 ftw.

Arnold Schwarzeneggar has proven himself to be one the most socially competent Governors in the United States at the moment, possibly the best

actually you are mistaken. i was just busted in colorado, not only did they take all of our pot and pipes but the fine was 275 dollars.

And the most flip-floppy...

seeing as for like 8 years he hasn't done jack shit other than cut this and cut that and it's hurt the school systems and medical care centres in this state immensely.

Trust me... this is hardly able to make me think of him as 'social competent' by any means... if he wants social competence, he wouldn't have an R next to his name... not that many people with a D next to theirs have been groundbreaking or anything...

Since its for recreational use for people over the age of 21...And most of ns's pot smokers are like 12....

I could agree with that. I have problems with the republicans of today though. The fact that being republican has become a religious thing. If you aren't religious, and support gay rights, you can't be a republican. But then I guess you could say that the dem party might have been better at one point. Both parties seem to suck now, but I'm still much closer to rep based on the old values.

The constitution also says that religion should be kept out of politics. However, Im really hopeful for the november vote

Both sides are fucking stupid in my opinion... it's all politics, and nobody's really doing anything that's going to fundamentally change much these days...

at the same time though... bitching about the government being incompetent and such, and that the businesses and shit should take over and run the land is just as fucking stupid anyway... we have a system that sucks, but it's our system and at least it SORTA works. Kinda.

So yeah.. I dont want to say that all republicans are social-issue retards that think dinosaurs and humans intermingled (although... some do... which is fucking ridiculous.. but whatever) but I also am not saying all democrats are a bunch of amazing awesome groundbreaking social heroes or something.. because truth is... many politicians are all just a bunch of old ass wussbag bitches who hide behind power and money and have never taken a punch to the face in their life.

this

the fda would actually raid dispensaries

in breck its legal, but not on a state level, so state police can still get you, but hey said that they would at least try to be reasonable about it

i hope enough counties get into the movement so that soon most all of the states will be involved. at which point the federal government will be forced to address the issue. just like the prohibition of alcohol.

the best part is officers cannot legally ask for your identification so if you get busted you can say any name and not have to pay the fine

Unfortunately decrim could keep it from ever being truly legal. You decriminalize it and it sucks some of the urgency out of the movement.

There are too many reasons why it is illegal for them to just legalize it. That's the real problem. Fuck special interests in politics.

damn. i thought it was already decriminalized there. could you only have a few g's before? cali is still worse than other states. in maine if you have less than 2.5 ounces, you get a ticket for a civil offense and in ohio, you can have up to 100gs and get a fine for a minor misdemeanor.
