This coming from an obvious outsider, but skiing in California might be a little more enjoyable if there were more skiers... I'm sick of all the shitty boarders crowding all the run ins, landing areas, the whole damn mountian just sitting around... Does anyone else have the same complaint, and what do you do to combat this every time you go up, me, I just plow through and throw down if someone wants to get in my way, they can try right?

 
There's assholes on both sides of this problem. I've been cut off by Skiers with there heads up there asses just the same. The problem isn't a skier / snowboarder problem, its letting idiots on the mountain.

yeah, it really doesn't matter, skier or snowboarder...half the people in the parks just live to get in other peoples way. and then you have the little families of people that come and sit on the jumps and think they are awesome.

go to the very top of the mtn or somethin thats way hard and there will b less of the sitting around

you know it's funny, here at alpine, even squaw, there aren't that many boarders, as someone up there said, like 10:1. but when i went to whistler last week, the ratio tatally flipped, so i dont think it is a cali problem. but who knows, we do have quite a few posers

Alpine's not so much a snowboard mountain, neither is Squaw for that matter...Too much traversing I guess. There are always as many if not more skiers than boarders in the park.

What really sucks is that people who snowboard give priority to other snowboarders. I am always aware of who is dropping in and where they are headed, but the semi-pro 12 year snowboarders seem to cut me or someone else off every single time.
