Calf cramps

I have this habit - you may know of it - landing backseat.

My calfs and shins hate me.

Problem now is when I ski my calfs like to tighten up and cramp super hard to the point where my legs will be violently shaking while standing in my boots.

It comes and goes throughout the day.

Any recommendations on remedies when this happens or do I just have to wait it out - really putting a damper on my days. (Yes I know not landing backseat will help it but what else)

You might have a back injury. Disk problems in the lower back can cause calf cramping. Especially if it is just on one side.

make sure you are stretching before and after skiing. It does wonders. Also eat a banana a day. The potassium from bananas helps prevents cramps

Find a roller online and use it after skiing. It helps breeakup the muscle so you can strech. Also find a daily strech routine on youtube and use that routine after skiing.

r u eating enough potassium? If not that will cause the leg cramps for sure. Takes a while for the body to absorb it so I try to eat a banana or have some coconut water in the morning.

took a bunch of bananas from the DC today - on the path to no cramps I hope lol

I also am not sure if its a side effect of some muscle strains in my calves maybe?
