Buying new vs refurbished

Im about to order a canon t2i and was wondering if it makes sense to buy a refurbished camera instead of a new one. Besides the fact that you save $120 is it really worth it? A refurbished camera only has a 90 day warranty which is kinda shitty so im just curious to know if you guys thong its actually worth it. Is it possible that a refurb could be more prone to breaking than a new camera?

It's actually the other way around, a new camera is more prone to breaking (due to manufacturer error). They do an extremely thorough inspection of the camera after it's been refurbished to ensure there isn't a single flaw. I bought my 60d refurbished and I'm really glad that I did. It saved a bunch of money and is absolutely flawless.

This. Always buy refurbished on any product, even outside the range of cameras. As long as there is no visual defect, you're golden.

Exactly as they said above. Also, every refurbished product I've ever bought has looked brand new with a new casing or screen or whatever the product required. I researched it before I started buying, and I found out the only reason companies tell you they are refurbished is because they are required by law to do so. Otherwise they would probably repackage them and sell them for retail.

As long as it's directly from Apple, go for it. Refurbished computers from Apple come with a full 1yr. warranty plus you can still add on Applecare, so there's not really a reason to buy new from Apple.
