Buying lift tickets from people who are leaving?

anybody ever try to show up at a hill and buy people's all day tickets when they're leaving?

I'd imagine it would work best around 4 as the day crowd leaves.

anybody ever been succesful? or do most folks just treat you like some kind of begger/ plague victim?

Yeah use to do it at Squaw. People would leave at like 11:30 and we'd clip their tickets. But we sure as hell wouldn't pay for them.

get buy one get one free coupons, usually you get em around here for buying like $5 of gas, then find someone whos buying a ticket, have them use your coupon, Presto:free ticket

idk if i like the mountain i go to im not gonna try and steal from the them, im gonna support them. if its some piece of shit mountain though hell yeah ill try it

or you could be like my buddy who just fills in numbers with sharpie. like if he skied december 23rd, he will keep the ticket and ski the 28th etc. etc. but he got a pass this season hahaha.

Agreed...If the mountains good and well run, which practically every mountain in Aus is, then you support them even if the pass does set you back quite a bit

we'll just let the old people who can afford to ski on fixed incomes pay and stay young and steal- i mean when we're old, we'll pay it back anyway cause 50 bucks'll be pocket change

Did to night ski at keystone, at vail! ha since any ticket at vail breck or keystone works for night skiing. Go at noon tho, me and a buddy sold out tickets at noon at PC once because we had to leave to drive home 9(around 12) and people would by them easy for 40 bucks since its like 79 bucks for a day and like 59 for a 1/2 day.

you could get arrested for many things

I allmost got arrested once for peeing in the wild, apparently its forbidden ....

Hehe, i dont use old tickets on the slopes, but when i go indoor skiing, its sometimes too easy to get some extra hours in the snow, just pick up some old tickets and try em, sometimes you still get like 5hours of snow

Hmm.. well you know when you forget your pass and you can get a day pass for free? If you don't plan on riding that day, (since they disable your seasons) you can say you forgot your pass, then turn around and scalp it for like 50 bucks to people at the back of the massive lift line :).
