Buying all your ski gear online?

Just knowing the way I have been purchasing my own personal ski swag the last few years, I'm interested to see if most of us are typically not entering physical ski stores anymore, or very rarely?

my only things that i ever ordered online are:ski-movies

replacement lense for oakley splice

Coreupt TJ skis cause they were dirt cheap ! (120$ brandnew!)

GoPro and additional mounts

all other stuff came from one of the shops around here....

Thanks for the input. I agree to support your local shops for sure! We are in the process of creating our own shop to fill in some gaps I believe are present in brands we would love to see. Planning on 80% sales online

i used to buy all my stuff at shops, but then realized how much they suck and how they only carry line and k2, so im starting to buy more stuff online now

well the only ski shops in alaska are Sports authority (which doesn't have much) REI (doesnt have as much freeski stuff) and world cup (super expensive) so I pretty much order everything. there used to be peter glenn which was awesome but got shut down.

If your going to buy online, are you interested in brands mostly? What if there are very limited brands? Is that more attractive, or big online stores like backcountry.com and evo.com?

but your icon is line...?

I buy everything from my local shop, I worked there this year and knowing the owner makes me want to support him that much more.

Seriously kids buy from your local shop.

Everything for my setup this previous year was bought online excluding my Marker Squires(they suck don't buy them)

i have a sportchek and a snowboard shop there is litterally no freestyle skiing stuff where i live so ive boughten everything online....but i had my skis delivered right to a store so they could mount the bindings

i only buy the gear i cant find in stores online, always go check your local ski shop, you might even find something you like more than what you had in mind!

depends, i order alot of stuff online, most of it, even my boots, usually just try them on at the store then get em online for cheaper but sometimes i buy stuff at ski store

I totally support my local boardshop and buy stuff like hoodies tees ect. from them, but when it comes to gear I like to get what I want. So if my local ski shop doesn't carry the brand that I'm looking for I just go online.

ive gotten stuff from saga but i always buy boots/skis/bindings from shops
gotta support the local shops

I go into every ski shop I walk past. No matter where I am.

But other than boots I buy all my hard goods on line. I live in NYC and the shops here only sell the big brands. Kinda sucks.

cant change it......

i used to want the masterminds but have changed my mind, im gonna get bluehouse antics. there not available in stores

i buy boots in store and you can often find the best deals on last year models of skis in shops a year late. I picked up a pair of salomon 2012s for 120 bucks this january at alta

My local shop is evo so it is prett easy for me. I gothere or another smaller shop by my house for a lot of my gear or servicing. I also get a lot of still from NS on the b/s/t forums and skis are manufacturer direct. I dont just order stuff from online stores

never really thought about it but besides skis and boots i literally get everything else on the web

I think the last time I bought any major (skis, snowboards, boots, bindings, goggles) equipment at an actual shop, was probably 3 years ago.

I'm interested in shopping for Brands and/or model/sizes that I can't otherwise find locally. This happens mostly with skis. I goggle the brand and model # we're looking for, and search for the store offering the best price, as well as free shipping. For example, Scott brand skis ( Scott Punisher Jibs) aren't available in our area, or at least I've not located any. I found a small store in CO, unreal low price ($227) AND free shipping. I was stokkked. I also order alot of apparel online because the brands we like I can't find here. First Drop, SAGA, Orage.

lookin steezy!i just got a pair of gogs from another member here. yea i get most of my stuff online. before i moved to toronto i was in madison wi, there werent many quality shops there. fontana, dicks, rei.. so yea. and now im still not over the fact that everything is more expensive in canada so i try to get shit online/used.

Not many stores sell ON3P so I got my skis online. And their presale is cheaper than in any store.

But I would never buy boots online. You never know what you're gonna get until you try it on and most shops will work on and adjust the boots as much as you want for free, which you won't get from an online store.

Haha, that's for my kids. I'm wearing TNF Old School Steeze. I plan on updated my style next season. I did buy myself a Jiberish LoHi Tall Hoodie tho. I might wear it for the first time out at Hood,IF I don't embarrass my kids too much lol.

There is one ski shop in my city and it only sells a very small selection of brands and marks up the prices insanely, so its internet for me.

The orage jacket that i got for $95 on sierra trading post was something like $400 in the store

i buy most of my shit online because here in australia shit is so expensive i cant afford to ski otherwise. i.e. i paid $420 for ski pants and any decent ski's + bindings are around $1,500 + i like to buy lots of smaller shit from shops though, (hoddies, tall t's etc.)
