Buying a camera help.

If there's a thread for this I'm sorry. I really don't know much about cameras but I've decided I want one. Really not looking for something super amazing but I want something I can use for a while. I found a couple on Craigslist that I think are pretty sweet deals.

The first one I found is $100 Nikon d50 with a Nikon 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6G ED-IF AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor Lens. Body is in great condition but the autofocus on the lens is broken.

The second one I found was a Sony alpha a200 with a factory 18-70mm f/3.5-5.6 lens. And a couple extras for 200 but I could probably talk him down.

Let me know what you guys think and let me know if I'm being out of line with these or something. I really don't know.

I dont have experience with the Sony you have listed there, but I do have a Sony DSLR and I love it for video. I own an a65, it isnt crazy good for pictures, dont get me wrong its good just not as good as a nikon or cannon. But when it comes to video I honestly think the sony cameras are much better than the others. The autofocus on them is blisteringly fast when you have the right lens and you can shoot 60fps with a lot of them which seems to be hard to find in DSLRs. Hope that helps a bit, as I said I have no experience with the cameras you listed but I just thought Id give you my take on the Sony cameras I have worked with in general.
