I've spent hours scouering the bs&t forum, I think we could optimize the forum by having sections like : JACKETS PANTS GOGGLES SKIS BINDINGS HOODIES T-SHIRTS MISC
 
i like this idea, the only complication i can think of is when people have sales with multiple items.
 
Oh you're right! It's for people to troll and bitch! I forgot this site is for everything freestyle skiing. I wonder what the site discussion forum is for.. Maybe its for discussing ideas on how to improve the site.. Hwow! Who the hell would want a better NS :S
 
we should have a bst pics section but when something is sold you can edit it to have a giant sold sign over it
 
Its fine how it is and its not going to be changed. There have been multiple threads on this topic. Just searchbar for whatever you want to find, or look through the sales. Its not that hard.

Its not hard to find if your looking for a specific item. but if your just looking for a sick deal in a certain category.. its not
 
It isnt really trouble, everywhere else on the internet where things are cheap as hell, theres always a chance of getting ripped off. Just use paypal and shit wont get real.
 
I think that sellers should be able to tag B/S/T threads so that it would be easier to find items. Then you could narrow down a search in B/S/T to only the items that you want.

For example, someone is selling multiple items in a thread, for example, one current thread near the top of the B/S/T is Smail's. His thread title says "FS: EC Headwear, Anon, Dakine, Rossignol, 4FRNT, LINE."

Thus, instead of having to name brands in the title, one could just create multiple one-word tags for it, like on a blog post or YouTube video. This would speed up searching by buyers, reduce the amounts of bumps necessary for a thread, and effectively categorize the B/S/T into easy-to-find sections or easy searching.

For example, Smail's thread could be tagged like this:

ec, headwear, stache, anon, realm, dakine, heli, pro, 20l, rossignol, boots, 30.5, 4frnt, pharak, hoodie, l, line, hoodie, xl, swiss, army, watch, new, era
 
I'm not saying the thread should look like anything. His is actually one of the better ones in BST. I'm just using it as an example. But you're completely missing what I'm saying. You know how when you write a blog post on WordPress, you tag it with relevant descriptive words? Or how on YouTube you tag your videos? My idea is essentially the same. Give users a "tags" box and require that they tag their sale with relevant descriptive words. Then create a searchbar unique to BST that lets users search through the database for threads with those items (based off the thread tags). Like eBay.
 
the really funny thing is that this 'problem,' like oh so many others, would be solved by fixing the search bar.
the only reason I am not a fan of getting rid of the market forum is that everyone would just cunt up the other ones instead.
