okay, so its time for a new computer...Im wondering if its better to build one or buy one. I know all the parts and stuff and ive done it before, but i used cheap stuff and its not the best comp out there that i built. Im just wondering if you guys think I will have a more stable pc if i buy instead of build? also, im thinking about a mac, but i dont think i got the $$ for one.

i built my comp...but i dunno how well i did it. Once in a while i still hear a bit of clanking inside the box...prolly just the fan. But, def build, and get a case with a window and put neons lights, glowing fans, colorful chips, and water cooling.

tigerdirect.com or newegg.com are great but you can buy a computer for about jsut as cheap, if not less. I have gotten 2 computers from Cyberpower and they are GREAT! here is the computer we jsut ordered for $730 including shipping:

and lifetime technical support. its cool becuase you can configure it withought optical drives and you used to be able to config it withought a hard drive but you cant anymore. it is good to save some money and recycle your old optical drives. i also didnt get speakers or a moniter becuase i already have both.

i dont see, unless you are doin alot of vid editing, why the fuck you would want a bigger hard drive then 80! god damn, i mean go ahead and get one but i just dont see, unless like i said, your doin alot of vid editing how you could fill it up. I have several games that take up a gig or so each, on that takes up 5.5 GIGS (UT 2004) a bunch of programs installed everyware from Photoshop to Avid Evpress, and on top of that i have a few movies i have downloaded that are ovber a gig and i have my miseley 10 GIGs of music i have downloaded and i still have 20 Gigs free space

his computer has a '200 gig HD' i think he was saying 80 gigs is small. and ya, my firend has a bunch of hard drives that he custom wired together to plug in to the serial port of his computer that total 2 terabytes!

i've got an 80...and its full...and not with vid...just programs, and other shit...oh, and music...lots of it...just bought a 120 gig though :)

^^^ Yeah, there's no way a normal person is going to fill up a 300 gig HD unless you do video editing. I have a 60 and an 80 in this comp, and I have only used about half between the two. And that's with a shitload of music and even more warez and stuff.

Have you ever seen a little kid slide back down the inrun of a kicker without going over? This is why parents shouldn't dump their kids off anywhere near the park...
