It helps if your edges aren't all that sharp, and commitment.

For tail butter, start the pivot with some speed, and put your weight on the tails, lean back a little.

Nose butter: kind of act like you are going to spin off a jump, use your arm to wing your body around, and put some weight on the nose tips, and lean forward, while trying to stay off the edges.

I'm not all that good at it but those are some starter tips to get you thinking. I feel like I should put more into this though. Some one will have it better for sure.

Do a 180 but keep your tips on the ground and learn forward a bit. They are the best trick ever once you can do them.

butters are my favourite trick

as you approach something you'd like to butter, get ready to whip your shoulders to initiate a spin. all tricks, as well as butters require an initial momentum setup.

Set your spinning momentum right as you're about to catch air, as you start to turn your body into the spin, press REALLY hard into the tips of your skis.

That is all.

You will feel it when you get it right

do it like a snowboarder would, don't do it all ski balletish.

its a 180 to your tips, then a 180 or more off of your tips.

it is not a 270 spin on your tips to 90 degree fudge

do this at 0:22

Yup, said it all. It can be tricky but it helps a lot if you'r trying them off rollers, and nuckles. If you just go for it and force all your weight, then you'll get it. It's also a little harder with really stiff skis. Good luck!
