Buttering

oh yeah invaders are supposed to be one of the easiest skis to butter so i dont think the 178 would be that hard.
 
oh so its a weight contest is it.....well im 4'11 and 165lbs...yeah top that....

no jk im actually really skinny too 5'6 121 lbs
 
skinny kids rulin the thread. i'm 5' 8" 125. but it just the flex point will be farther forward and back than your used to on the 178. it might be a little big for buttering
 
look bro i have been a member longer than u and im watching hte ohio state FL game. im not even really looking at the screen
 
i dont know im 5'6 and 121 lbs and i find it harder to butter on my 171 invaders, i can still do it it just takes a bit more effort. but tail butters are a bitch on them...
 
Dude, buttering those is so easy it's not even funny. If you have a hard time with those, I don't know how much softer you could go and still have support. Invaders flex and butter super, and i mean *super* easy
 
im relatively the same size as the creator (jammin_man) and i can butter my 178 invaders real easy, its a bit tricky to get the flex to the butter zones, but if you can throw your weight into it, it works fine.

but i wouldnt want to go to the 171's just for easier butters, the 178's ride excellently and i wouldnt want shorter.
 
probly be harder to butter on the 178, and you also have to add 5cm because line mesures there skis funny, so they be really long and hard to butter on because then you would have more swing weight and you would have to apply alot of presure to butter on the 178.
 
Invaders are one of the softest skis on the market, buttering on any size it comes in should be easy enough. Physics is pretty clear when it comes to this, too...OBVIOUSLY if there is more ski in front of you it'll be harder to flex the ski because you're farther away from the flex point and have less leverage.
 
i have heard many people say this but does rossignol measure wierd also? because i have 171 invaders and 174 scratches and if i put them right next to each other the scratches only measure 1cm taller. im 5' 7" and im glad i went with the 171s instead of the 178s
