I have a reeeaaaalllly good idea for an app for the iphone, ipod, ipad, etc... It's so good that Im even making a thread about it. But my problem is, I have no idea what to do. I want to sell my idea to some popular app manufacturing company but every company expects you to shell out thousands and thousands of dollars to fund the development. Im 16 and have like 200 dollars in my bank account. I am also worried about telling anyone what the idea is before it's copyrighted or patented or whatever. SOO im basically stuck in his akward spot where i have this great idea but can't tell anyone what it is...

So my question is, If you were in my shoes and had a million dollar idea (trust me it's that good) how would you go about transforming it from a dream to a reality?

inb4 tell me the idea

the app development app is only like $100, if you really have a sick idea you could maybe get a friend to help you?

Someone on here created a game just like you are looking to do. I think he even did it himself. You should get in touch with him. Ill see if i can find the thread. Or someone else post up if you know what I'm talking about

i do know what you're talking about, some foreign kid and his dad made an ipod app and all the NS'ers bought it.

it was Reedskis~ that made the app, PM him

yo lets make this the apple app cool idea brainstorm thread, i'll be back in like 5 minswith a list of cool ideas!

you have parents dont you? but patents cost an ass load. your not going to make milliions cause you came up with an app, just not going to happen, and chances are... THERES AN APP FOR THAT

There isn't an app for that I checked the AppStore, and I checked apple's apps in development. I'm not looking for millions, but this idea has potential to catch on and become very popular

Start talking to app making companies and get them to sign a "Non Disclosure Agreement" before you tell them anything. They are easy to make and legally binding. I've done them before. Hope that helps.
