Business letter....extra 2%?

My entrepreneurs class is bering offered the chance to get an extra 2% if we write a business letter explaining why we should get the 2%...any ideas?

 
Explain the correlation between the ability to persuade in order to increase one's gains/profits/sales. The ability to persuade your target in a meaningful and personal manner will most likely result in beneficial gains.
 
If you have 30 days to do the assignment, turn it in within 10 and just write 'Payment Terms' and 'Cost of Capital' and turn that shit in.
 
explain how time is money and by spending the time writing this paper you are losing out on money that your new self-owned business could be making so that the least your teacher could do is give you those 2% points
 
tell him you don't work on a contingent basis and you want the 2% right now and then he will get the letter later.

implying not wanting to waste time writing a stupid letter just to get an extra 2% in the whole class makes me a high school student or a terrible student
 
At my college we usually get 2% to our grade for just filing out the course evaluation at the end of the quarter, so legit.

it's just really unfair. why do you get to be so much better than me? why can't you just be like the rest of us low-life college students to whom 2% added onto our grade might be fairly valuable?
 
I honestly dont understand why you wouldn't do a project for an extra 2% and I don't get why your arguing your point. Even if you are smart and get A's in all your classes, why wouldn't you try to boost your 93 to a 95 (for example). Its worth doing just to have a nice buffer going into finals. Also its only an extra hour or so, so its not even a big deal to sit down and do it. If you really don't care about an extra 2% in your experiences through college then why did you even post in this thread this guy just wanted some ideas to help him out.
 
its okay, later in life he will realize that there are extra rewards from putting in just a bit more effort than what was initially required. if he doesn't learn this lesson, and that doing only the required work is the norm, then the people that are willing to put in the extra work will be given the promotions.

usually, at least in science/math based classes, the lower the grade ranges, the harder the class. They also tend to curve shit.

I once had a prof who had a really easy class, but believed in a true bell curve, so kids with 89% were getting an F. Long Story short, we mutinied and got a new prof
 
did i not give him my opinion/idea to try and help him out? yes, i did. so what, just because i came in here and wrote what i thought to be legit advice and what i would do if i were in his position instead of saying "yo, you should write about how 18th century society affected the growth of potatoes in the north west", that makes me a dick or something? if he wants to write the fuckin letter, then he'll read my post, he'll say "naw i wanna write the letter" and then he'll write the fuckin letter. im not imposing anything on the guy, you guys just need to simmer down.

and to buddy up there saying i'll never go above and beyond expectations and all that shit, i would agree with you if we werent talking about a 2% increase in an overall grade of one class, but we are... ya sure, at work and stuff its always good to go the extra mile and exceed expectations and even at school you have to do that to get good grades, its just that this 2% is pretty useless in my opinion. after hes graduated and everything and hes trying to find a job, the guy doing the interview isnt gonna be like "hey buddy, how come you only got an 86% in that one class during your Xnd year? why the fuck didnt you get an 88%?? for that reason, i will not be hiring you. McDonalds is that way." no, he wont do that. this 2% isnt gonna change anything in his life, so why fret over it instead of just chillin with the boys? if you can give me a legitimate reason in a well structured argument why its so important for him to get out there and get that 2%, then i'll shut up, but as i said before, were talking about fuckin 2% here. if you put yourself in a situation where that 2% actually makes a real difference in anything then you've got bigger things to worry about, thats all im trying to say.

and to the other guy up there asking where i go to school, i go to polytechnique,, university of montreal's engineering school.

congratulations. i know nothing about the Canadian higher education system, but the "que" sound at the end sounds rather fancy. I got to Bentley University, but I'm not going to make claims regarding how prestigious it might be or what not.

i've been fucking with you in this thread, i honestly couldn't care less if you were intending to be a prick or not. all i have to say is don't be arrogant. confidence will get you places, but arrogance will certainly not.

because that two percent in the class could be the difference between an 88% and 90% a 3.2 vs 3.5- this can make an overall difference between a 3.49 GPA and a 3.5 GPA

doesnt seem like much right? well it is. now days when companies are sorting through resumes they have automjatic cutoffs for GPA, so a 3.49 might not make the cut while a 3.5 will. doesnt matter how good you are at what you do or how much experience you have, if the hiring manager never even sees your resume.

Scholarships- again the difference between keeping scholarships is dependant on GPA and in my experience they are pretty unforgiving if you fall below the minimum.

Grad School- Grades are hugely important and the difference between getting in to your wanted school vs not could come down to 3.49 vs 3.5
