haah thats kinda funny, even though i ride one. im getting really sick of them jacking up prices and trying to be all trendy

haha, ^^ it's against burton... don't you see the RIDE logo?

I kind of agree with that, burton is way overated even if they make good stuff (they tend to make the prices go up a little because of their reputation.)

I'm not hating on burton... but they make normal gear compared to other companys for the same price...

man i got burton shit, and i do agree that it is wayyy over rated and wayyy to exspensive, however some of their shit is amazing..

yeah, im more of a nitro guy, myself... but i thought it was funny, burton makes some dope shit, i like their bindings but seriously 380 for the c60's wtf!?!?!?! and then the 3-hole pattern on the boards... yeah pretty homo. seems to me like the general trend is in burton and a lot of companies these days is towards freestyle steeze and all that shit, ppl r way to caught up in how they look, its like some ppl just want to snowboard cuz they think its cool and theyre not really even into it.. but whatever, as long as their not in my powder......

im up and down with burton, on one hand they are super commercial and over price their shit... but on the other hand you can still get quality product for decent prices depending on what you buy. personally i think burtons bindings are the worst bindings available. they make good boards and outerwear though.

hah i defanitly missed the ride symbol i was tryin to desipher the message lol

i rode burton 2 years ago

snapped my board

road gnu last year i liked but the i road an endeavor board at coc and thats all i will be riding from now on

I wont lie, I hate Burton. I really do. I dont care if you ride it, that's fine, but they are way overpriced, crappily made, and overall suck. Their old stuff was so much better. Before they started mass producing their product and concenterating on getting more product out to shops, as opposed to quality. I've snappeds Burton 3 Burton boards, none of the times doing anything extreme/unsafe for the board. I landed in the backseat on a 5, boom, tail of a UnInc snapped. Rock and rolled on a wallride, snapped Custom. Backlip on a dfd, snapped Dominant. Luckily, I didnt pay for these boards, they werent even mine. I've seen Burton baseplates snap (I have pictures) frm just normal riding. Just cruising. The boots fall apart. I had the Hails and they just sucked. They turned into floppy donkey dicks after less than a month of riding. NEVER again.

haha i have to agree on everything except the se7en i have is much stronger than a lot of boards ive ridden. plus last year i snapped a scotty arnold, 2 danny kass's, and a jeenyus rental. every kind of board is breaking, ive spoken to a lot of people within the industry about it and basically it boils down to board makers trying to make the lightest boards possible and sacrificing strength in return.

Haha that was funny. For girl boards burton is the one that can make a good girls bored! guys can go with pretty much any brand.

Im a fan of Ride. I have an old Catalyst 160cm and LS bindings, theyve never done me wrong. Even after 3 battering years on the Icy East Canadian hills.

Although I admire Burton a lot too. I want a Custom so badly

I have nothing against Burton. I mean, I ride Burton boots. But I just can't stand it when people are 'Burton Kids'. People who only ride ALL Burton just because of their reputation. People are so closed minded about the whole situation. There are so many options.. why not explore them before commiting?

i have mostly burton stuff, other than my boots and bindings. and i really dont even like burton that much, but they make the sickest looking outerwear right now, and as it goes... i wanna look good on the mountain.

how bout grenade outerwear with the different prints or special blend with the stripped puffys or forum or any company really.. volcom with the single color suits

i think most companies are comin out with sick lookin outerwear

i got burton white collection jacket denim and brown and some burton white cargos... both way oversized so they look pretty ill

yeah... its kinda sad in some ways..... really disappointing to see where all the lines r headed, its hard to find a decent pow board these days, theyre all little 160-170 boards, and nobody but winterstick is makin a swallowtail anymore... oh well at least if everybody's into looking good and park and shit like that then the pow stays nice and the good gortex stuff that doesnt look "cool" or whatever goes on sale

dont get me wrong... i love slashing pow, but you have to understand im from the east coast. there isnt pow to slash on more than 2 or 3 days a season. this year i transplanted to p.c. with the intention of riding the sickest snow in the country. BUT, this doesnt mean im not interested in how i look. it has nothing to do with what i prefer riding, but my own personal fashion style. i happen to think burton shit looks good. whats wrong with supporting the company that started the entire thing? i think some of you seem to forget where the real roots are, despite burtons congomerate intentions... they still are the people that made it possible for you and i to do what we do, and continue to bring positive publicity (regardless of the medias perspective on snowboarding, its good to have more money coming into the industry and improving the equipment) to snowboarding. ultimately, you may not agree with burtons intentions, over pricing, and exploitation of their position...none of which i am too fond of myself... but they still are ahead of everyone else on a lot of levels, and still have a lot to offer.

and i dont know anything about you, but a 170 is a very, very large board. i cant imagine needing anything bigger than that.

yeah... and i dont know anything about you either, im pretty much a powder junky. 170s not a very big board, my friend has a 196 swallowtail, my biggest board is like a 169 and i would totally go for another 10-15 if there was any that i liked. i think like gnu or libtech makes like a 180 something and a 190 something, but im just not feelin those ones....

but as far as the "real roots"..... winterstick and sims were right there too.

i guess when it comes down to it, it doesnt really matter if youre a park rat or freerider, or whatever as long as youre having fun

yeah i guess it would be a really big board if u were short... im 6'2or3 so yeah... you short ppl r lucky cuz u got a nice powder board selection and u probly dont have to worry about waist width with toe drag and alll

i like women's burton boards, but i must admit, they are ridiculously overpriced. their outerwear is also the shiiiit

^ wow that is prolly the most amazing board ive ever seen or herd of or anything....i could lay on it n not get face or toe drag off the nose or tail
