Can you do this, because i want to transfer a lot of music t oa computer at school i was wondering if putting it on a dvd disk would work

yeah, but will they play if you burn them in that format? cuz it would be great to be able to burn a hella-long CD for driving croos-country so that i don't have to change my cd's while drivin'. (my disc changer is in my trunk)

for just transfering files use a dvd because it has way more space.

actually some car stereos can play mp3 CDs, but you would know if yours did.

Derek I think you are wrong about that, I just bought a brand new Alpine CDA-9855 and it has an option to listen to MP3/WMA/CD format cd's or DVD-R.

yeah its definently worth it to get a deck for your car that plays data cds. mine does. pioneer. its great stuff. 142 songs

because yesterday i asked the question to see if it would work, then after i got my answer (from first replier)i did it

thats what im saying. i was talking about putting them on a regular CD instead of DVD-R. the most ive gotten onto 1 cd is 170
