building a jump?

either or, i just need to know, cause we found a big hill and were going to put jumps when i snows.

anything will help!

Line rules!

use a form (wood if you have it, or just skis) to get the snow to shape better, that way you dont have to make a 15 foot wide base for the snow on top to stay there

its all about the lip of the jump, too much and youl go straight up,too little youll fly farther.

for learining backflips alot of lip helps

the hardest part is making a smooth tranny, the longer the better so you're making sure to take off the jump well balanced. LONG SMOOTH TRANNY.

Head injuries suck!

and a point of advice...kick magnifies with speed...so if you need lots of speed, you need a huge tranny...we built a step up at my friend's cabin, tried it, it kicked really hard, so we dug out the inrun a little, tried again..etc....we ended up with a 30 meter long trench, 1 meter wide and 10+ feet high so that we had a smoothe transition...it would have been easier to put the jump somewhere else
