Building a high speed winch

I have a go kart...is there anyway i can use it to build a high speed winch?? obviously i will need to buy some stuff but can it be used at all?
 
take a rear wheel off and attach a wakeboard rope/handle. If you wanna be less sketchy, make a spool of sorts that mounts to the axle and then fasten a rope around it so when it winds up it doesn't get all tangled.
