Building a Box???

I was looking at some videos on different ways to build a box and I noticed that everyone was using a different kind of material for the plastic on the top.
Has anyone on here built one or at least know what I should buy if I'm trying to build one?
 
alright... trying to get an invite to the build a jib cult but besides that thanks for your help... is home depot probably the best place to get pvc and other shit?
 
yup, get the Grey PVC. It'll cost you a bit more, but it's all worth it. It's used for electric wiring i think, and it's a bit more dense. Anyways, you can feel the difference if you hold the white PVC pipe in one hand, and the grey one in the other and start compressing both.

I used 3 3/4" Grey PVC on my rail. They we're all drilled in the 2x4. The whole project cost me 38$ for a 8 foot rail (it's a bit short). My plan is to make another 6 or 8 foot rail to extend it.

Cheap easy way to make a box is to use a bunch on small pvc pipes. I think I used half inch last winter when I had space for a backyard rail. They will break over time but it is real cheap ($1.50) to replace each piece. Don't bother to do the whole width of the box just a couple in the middle and two on each outside. I think I have pics of mine from last year in my profile.
