Here is my rail and it is very unsturdy and the second section moves whenever I hit it or try to spin off. How can I make it stay in one place permanently and make it sturdy?

and how does he keep his rail so sturdy with barely any support?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA dude i pissed myself... Scrap those rails, and make a real 2 foot high rail... I think its extremely stupid to have a 2 inch high rail... Ehm msg me and i can help you out bro.

hahah BUMP someone hhelp this kid.. And where you place it is big... You don't want it to be bouncin around while your jibin

you could probably attach some metal rod underneath it thats driven down in the ground. almost like the pin that you use for a anchoring a tent, but bigger.

Maybe get some metal spikes and attach them to the bottom of the supports, so they dig into the dirt a little nicer.

Won't do THAT much, but by the looks of the video, you just need more friction against the ground.

Yeah im going to put in a few more supports on them tomorrow and put some plywood on the sides so I don't catch my skis under and die.

get some croquet hoops and use them to nail it to the ground.

see what im saying? the long parts go into the ground and the connector is firmly pressed to your support. With these, it can't more around.

bro its grass not snow it hurts more when you fall on it and dose it madder how tall the rail is off the ground its just a fun little set up to have fun on in the summer time when there is no snow

This might sound to easy but weigh it down some how. If you can't weigh it down easily then staking it could be a good idea like the other people said

post a video of your summer setup then. and to OP, i was thinking something like a stake screwed in to the vertical piece of wood, just something to anchor it into the ground, as said above ^

i think because the rail is small it doesnt weigh very much and that makes it move around

so either make a bigger beefier rail or try using some stakes or pegs in front and on the sides to prevent it moving around

this this this this this!!

i had the same exact problem, i read this like an hour ago and went outside and put wire croquet (sp) hoops around the base of each support on each side... NO MOVEMENT! do this!

his base 2x4s are twice the length of yours and his grass is twice as long and thick meaning that its harder for it to slide on the ground.
