I got a pvc pipe, and i wanna make a rail, i was just wonderin how i would keep it off the ground, im lookin to go like 2-3 feet up. thanx- peace

OKay, one of the best ways to do this is with an old bed frame. Screw the pvc pipe to the bed frame and grind off the sides. Then just make neds that go to the bottom in a n upside down T shape, (there are 2 alread when you cut up the bedframe), then burry the T's under snow and you're all set.
A second way would be to use pine wood posts, and a long rial of metal, put the rail in the pvc pipe for stability, then drill into the posts. Make your T's for the bottom, burry them, and have fun. (It works for bikes, it should be strong enough for skiiers.)

i used 2 by 4's and made supports like this
