Er.. so I wrote this kind of as a review I guess..? But it ended up being me just gushing about how awesome these guys are. Whatever. This CD kicks fucking ass.
So very quickly after I got into metal, I got into this band, and very quickly after I got into this band, I fell head over heels in love with them. Every one of them is disgustingly talented, and together they make some of the most intense, provocative, and progressive music I've experienced. And every album they produce is better than the last... and today I got my hands on an advance copy of their newest effort, "The Great Misdirect", which is unfuckingbelievably fantastic. On par with "Colors", for those who know them... possibly better, but I've listened to "Colors" a million times and I just finished my first full listen to this one. They slip up occasionally, but they're always experimenting and pushing the envelope so that's bound to happen... for the most part, every second is orgasmic. The guitar and drumwork are both on another level beyond the usual "other level". Just fucking insane. And the CD as a whole is just so creative and refreshing.. Aggh! Get it now! Fuck!
