dude i go to school at bro-city: Miami University in Oxford Ohio. Im from Denver ( i came for the school and the scholarship, kick ass business school and relax, ive skied 15 days in whistler and Colorado already) so we dont really have that many bros in denver. i came to school and it was like "whoah." these guys take it to another level. New haircut, "jeaga bombs" steroids, serious beer pong and fights are all stereotypes that fit here. its funny, and some are really nice, but its definitely annoying when u just wanna be nice to people and you get hated on for being "gay."

so if you see a bro, hand him a natty ice and "just chill"
 
dude miami is easily the most legit school in ohio, and roids are fucking gay, who takes roids, its frattier to just drink alot of beer and dont give a fuck, you lose weight from getting yakked all the time

Would you rather be a successfull asshole who had to totally conform himself, denying any possibility of a unique personality, making $150 G's a year, or a cool calm and collected person who just likes to be themselves and can live life to its fullest making $75 G's a year?

I don't care how much money I make a year as long as it's enough to support myself, and hopefully a wife and kids one day. Theres more to life than playing girls, starting fights to prove your manliness, and money.
 
no....150 thousand is not alot of money dude, 1 million dollars isnt a lot of fucking money, its easy as fuck to make 150,000 dollars in a year, its beyond me how that could be remotely called succesful

Im unique in personality. If you read around nsg, i would say compared to these blind fucks, im relatively controversial, blunt, and open minded in my own way; the right way. Everyone else simply conforms to their definition of non conformist. Now, i guarantee i am smarter than 99% of this site; my SATs, ACTs, and other standardized tests say so. I come off as a huge ass hole but more often than not, on subjects such as politics, military, etc, im going to know far more than some failing, mid ranged emo freak sucking o'bama bin ladens dick.

my dad makes slightly more than 100k a year and i have a 62 inch lcd tv, a nice fucking hot tub, 4 really fucking nice cars (one being mine, two his, one my moms...one convertable sports car) and i live in a half million dollar house in a nice neighborhood sitting on an acre of land, and i can pretty much afford anything i want...multiple vacations a year to basically anywhere. so thats not succesful? oh and my mom barely works. im not trying to be a claiming dick but i think 100k a year is easily succcesful.
 
yea ikinda agree 150k a year is pretty good but what about retirement plans? You gotta be pulling in at least like 400k these days to happily retire.

I hate emo kids or artistic kids or even philosophers who try way too hard to fit into one of those categories, then flip it around and say other ppl are conformists. I hate even more when emo kids or artistic kids or even philosophers think they know a lot about art or philosophy.

Trust me, i would bet i am more learned in both philosophy and art than you. I would guarantee i am a better drawer, painter, sculptor, builder, photoshopist, web designer, writer, or philosopher than you.

oh and all that was after we lost around 70k in one month from my moms business that failed. and umm for retirement my parents are moving to tenessee within the next few years to live in a gated community in probably a 5000+ square foot house...for the two of them. so i think they are straight and only on about 100k a year. so i dunno.
 
true true, i dont know man. as long as your happy you are succesful in my opinion, even if you live in a little shitty shack on a mountain.
 
Ya i kind of agree. I went way over the top philosophical. It was fun though. I actually own 3 pairs of skis and I regret having that many pairs because it does go against what I believe in. Unfortunately skiing and materialism go hand and hand but I love skiing so its an exception.

 
i guess if youre truly happy living in a shcak on a mountainthen by all means. but 99% of ppl like that are lying to themselves, rationalizing their shortcomings. to a lot of people: quit making excuses and get yourselves out of your shithole and become more ambitious.
 
ummm nope, no other sides to the story.

I have literally said "I don't want to fight, you win, cya later" I got suckerpunched by a kid who was trying to start shit with my friend, for only saying, hand to god, "lets not fight, lets just get on with our nights and have a good time." I got thrown out of a party full of jersey kids for saying that I didnt like bruce springsteen (didnt know they were jersey kids)

I do not start shit. its the school I go to. friends who visit remark on how common fights are.

oh and I am not a hipster indie kid either. I am not really defineable at all. I hang out with all different types of people. a lot of my "jock" friends are fucking huge and could easily stomp the shit out of people, but they dont because they are normal well adjusted members of society.
 
its easy to have all that when you live in the middle of bum fuck no where, where property taxes are literally non existant and your dad is sitting in a comfortable income tax bracket.

move to the city. 100k is peanuts.
 
Compared to the city property taxes where we live are minimal, but Vermont is notorious for them. We bought my house seven years ago for 150k and it's worth 400k now. Yeah.
