so im going there on friday and i was wondering if they have park passes there. i thought i remembered hearing or seeing that somewhere. can someone confirm?
i went on friday, they have a rainbow rail, a tree jib, a flat down flat box, a rail, a box a big jump a smaler jump that was closed, a few other rails and boxes. you need a pass but i just go ski right thru and dont get caught.
yeah they have a park pass, but its for the good of the park, keeping most of the gapers out, and parents with families. its a decent park, but they havent really had the snow to make it as good as they could
the park really depends on the conditions and the amount of people. it also depends on when you come in the week. sunday afternoons are usually pretty good. or not.
Don't even CONSIDER not having to see gapers in there because of the park pass. They all have it and they pretty much ride the whole park including rail kickers and jump landings the whole day. Altogether, during one day i see about 100-150 different gappers that can stop wherever they want. For families, it's a really good opportunity to pay 10$ to be able to ride an extra slope with "exciting pitch" (talking about the landings). Don't expect having a full day without tackling a gaper or having one carve the tip of your skis.
I have the park pass there and dont get me wrong park passes are a good thing! but at bromont you never know what ur speed is because theres rarely anyone good enough to show it to you. what im talking about is the step up jump ( its like 50 ft) and every time i go I want to hit it but i have no fucking clue where to start from.... when I ask no one knows.... it sucks for that... but the park kills , i love that 40 footer box
I wonder which days you've been hitting the park because every day i ski there (which is saturday and sunday) there are always people hitting the ''step-up'' jump (which is not a step up anymore). I also hit that jump every day and the speed is pretty much always the same, just start from the big thingy at the top of the park and yo might have 1 speed check if the snow is good.
you kidding me? hahahaha I hope you're not park ranger. Starters are hella important, especially if you wanna put a 60 feet booter! Last year during spring I was hitting the big air and i was starting at the begining of the park downhill and i would always hit the knuckle doing any spin beyond 360. That's rediculeous haha!
1 spring time!!! Ok I give it to yoiu the Dakine wasn`t that sick last year in the spring time. But other that that. 0 problems during the winter. The bedford is the perfect trail for a park.
Repted downs and flats. Try hiting it again this year. The park will be sick!!
Yahhh bromont is gonna be pretty sweet this year, loads of new features, better maintenance, a small park section for beginners with little obstacles (like box stalls and shizznit like that) to keep the groms happy.
The jumps are gonna be built better too this year and the big jump is gonna be on the other side of the fence (like right under the chairs...) don't ask me why but all I know is that's it's gonna be gnarly and bigger than last year...
wow thanks man! and sorry for your friend i tought that they would change it if someone would hurt himself but no. Bromont's park ranger are fuckin morons at least last year maybe this year they will put starters shiiit man that's why bromont will never be half as good as avila lmao no starter and claim to have a nice park..
The starter wouldn't have changed a single thing (well if you want to we can paint a small line the next time you come up and let you pretend it's a starter...)
There was no starter due to the fact that the conditions were never the same, snow at -20° and snow at +5° doesn't have the same properties, it's way harder to get your speed when the temp outside is warmer. So a starter wouldn't have been that effective, the best thing would be to do speed checks, just straight huck it.
Yeah huck and if and if you break a couple of bones that's your problem??? Are you kidding man... anyways wtv i dont care i try to never go to bromont it fails, people don't even understand why starters are important lol.
cant wait to see this years park, it should be pretty legit to say the least. i think you guys should reconsider of youve all barred Bromont from you maps because things are only getting better here.
As a bromont's rental's employee, dude i gotta say they got a new man for park conception this year, looks pretty sick heard from a couple of fellow workers.
around what date do you think she's gonna open? my exams finish on the 15th and i need to go home to oakville for christmas, so i was gonna plan my trip back home according to bromont's opening day in case i can manage to squeeze in some turns before leaving.
