Bromont park updates

Well this is all that I could find on their website regarding the park. My french is not great but what I got from this is that the park pass system is still in place in 2 of the parcs and that there will be features of all sizes throughout the mountain.

1 parc à neige, 2 parcs à neige… 6 parcs à neige!

Dans le but de favoriser le développement du sport et de procurer un « oumph » d’adrénaline à un

maximum de skieurs, Ski Bromont comptera cette année non pas un, ni deux, mais bien six parcs

alpins! Plus accessibles que jamais, ces espaces seront ouverts à toute la clientèle… gratuitement!

Plus besoin de billet d’accès spécial, ni d’abonnement SnowPrk!

Les habitués reconnaîtront les zones déjà connues comme la Magog, la St-Ignace et la St-Armand qui,

sous les télésièges nos 3 et 4, offrent un excellent spectacle. Dorénavant, les versants des Cantons et

du Midi accueilleront chacun un parc à neige dans les pistes Edmonton et Orlando. Pensés et conçus

par des pros de l’industrie, ils offriront jumps, rails et autres modules de tous les calibres, leur degré

de difficulté coïncidant avec celui de la piste.
 
The paragraph you posted says there will no longer be any park passes required for all six parks. And that the size of the features in each park will match the degree of difficulty of the slop they're on.. Whatever that means.
 
I think that's mostly insider speculation.. As far as I know Bromont hasn't released an official statement regarding jump size. Over the next while on their facebook they're giving an overview of each of the six parks, they've only covered the first beginner one so far, but that's probably something to keep an eye on.
 
Currently they have a description of 5 of the 6 parks up on their Facebook. From what they are saying it sounds pretty inviting. And yet words are words. There's nothing really to do but wait and hope for the best.
 
The Ski Bromont page. If you scroll up or down you can find pictures with big numbers on them, 1 through 5. It gives a brief description of the type of park each will be. Doesn't gives specifics, more so along the lines of ... beginner park for progression, intermediate to expert park, rail garden, etc.
 
Says on their site their Facebook there will be jumps actually, in the respective park summaries that I mentioned previously.
 
they dont want to say the size cause that'll make people buy their pass somewhere else. theres a law in quebec that says that any park without a park pass cannot have any features over ''Large'' which mean no jump over 22ft because a 22ft jump become a XL feature. that's why at Le Relais there's such small jumps(they don't have a park pass)
 
That does indeed make sense. Now to hard part is deciding, night pass at Bromont or Avila? Leaving straight from Concordia after Monday-Thursday evening, need the best option.
 
^ leaving from concordia its about the same amount of time to get to both, if anything avila might be 10 minutes closer. Ive never skiied bromont but after years of having a pass at avila i know that their big jumps probably wont be ready till the end of january or early febuary, also you have to consider price.

Ive never been to st.bruno either but i hear they have a good park with some nice jumps and i think it would be the closest to downtown.
 
Haha guess that's one vote in favor of Avila. Sounds good to me. Always looking for new people to shred with.
 
Was thinking of going on some trips but don't know anyone so was a little apprehensive. Didn't want to pay for a trip then just shred alone. Might as well just drive in that case.

 
I go to Concordia too. I was a CSSC exec last year. I'll for sure be going on a few of the trips.
 
Very interested in these ideas. And a snowfall that stuck yesterday. Probably won't be for long but can't complain.
 
since people are talking about mountains around montreal i was just wondering what places around here are accessible by bus. I go to mcgill but i dont have a car and so im looking to see which mountains i can get to without driving i.e. by taking a bus. thanks!
 
Ya I went on saturday night, only hiked the stuff once but the side booters were off the chain!
 
there's a down barney(15-20ft) and a flat down kinda up down(10-15ft). idk about the 2 other features

Ski club's doing a trip to Bromont this Saturday, is it worth it right now? (I'm probably gonna go anyway, but if it's no good I'll save my money).

Also if you're gonna be there and want to shred hit me up with a pm and we can meet up or something.
