Broken W key

I wasn't going to make a thread, but then I was like "You know what? Fuck it, there's plenty of shittier threads in NSG as it is."

So, something is wrong with my W key. Sometimes, when I am typing fast (notes, papers, etc.) and I push lightly on the W key, it doesn't respond. I have to really make sure to push down on it. It's not stuck, and it definitely does work. Any ideas?

I'm on a Dell tablet, if that makes a difference.

Sounds like a mechanical problem, not software. Pop the key off and see if there's something stuck under it. Don't break it though.

OK, that's what I was hoping. It definitely doesn't feel stuck, but it won't hurt to check. Also, it just started happening since the beginning of the month, so it is fairly recent.

It still works, I just have to deliberately push it. For example, if I take my index finger and push it lightly, it will go down but it won't respond. If I push harder, it will go down and respond.

Yeah, I have a 3 year accidental damage warranty through the school, but IMO opinion its not worth the hassle to go without a laptop for 2-3 weeks for a fussy W key.

Don't worry guys, someho, I'll find a way to survive.

This happened to me and I couldn't get it to work, so i just smashed all of the other keys with a hammer.
