Broken Atomic Tips

Well i just went skiing last night. after about 3 runs on my atomic beta ride 9.20 skis i looked down and noticed that one of the tips had come off. so i took it to the ski shop and its gonna cost $15 and its gonna take about 2 weeks to get a new tip. First of all why does it cost $15 for a plastic tip? and second why does it take 2 weeks to get one? third of all why do all the ski companies use plastic tips?

has this happened to anybody else?

hahaha, well maybe if you bought REAl Atomic skis, and not some ski that was produced for a corporate sporting goods chain, with 'Atomic' painted on the top sheet, the tips wouldnt have broken off.

If you dont believe me, head on over to www.atomicsnow.com and try to find your 'Atomic 9.20s' Unless of course, they're 8.20s, and you just misnamed them by mistake.

Your mind is a paint brush, and life is your canvas. Paint it as you see fit.

atomic doesn't make beta ride 9.20's but they do make the beta ride 9.22's which are a sick freeride ski. go get some skis without tips on them like the k2 launcher

Just ski down there and jump off of something for crying out loud! - Shane McConkey

well you're right, i couldn't find them on the atomic website, but they are last years models. i don't think they would have last years models on the website

my friend has some atomics from 2 years ago and they have the same tips on them, so i don't think they are fake painted with the atomic logo and whatnot.
