Brobomb sums up this JOSS debacle

this is a skiing website with a forum. something happened in the ski world that people want to talk about therefore there are lots of threads about during the past couple days. how about instead we should change this forums name to chuglife! or traveling circus, or maybe even tammy wallnuts.....uhhh no.

who is this brobomb guy that feels his input on skiing matters so much that he created his own website for it. i would say THAT guy is the egomaniac, not jon. The authors of that website are no more than a few skiers who think their opinions are so great they decided to make a website all about them. their opinions are no more credible than mine or yours. what a bunch of losers.

yes. but this could all be relegated to one or two big threads, rather than 500000 small ones.

I'm an author on that website and my opinion is the best one so... what the fuck? kidding.
I love the BroBomb dudes (not like a love-love kind of way but in the way you love reading a Sunday morning comic). Like their credo says, we're here to have fun at skiing's expense. Take a look through their archives. You'll find excellent (and by excellent, I mean well-written, insightful, and hilarious) content like interviews with LINE skis J-Lev, Garrett Russell, awesome edits of Traveling Circus, crazy Euro dudes, and more.
They're refreshing and kudos to those guys for saying what a lot of "professional ski writers" are thinking but too pussy to write. ;-)

That was lame. This guy's whole argument is that JOSS doesn't matter (which it clearly does, both in the time invested and the payoff for doing well), so therefore anybody who cares about the rules is being a douche. Oh, and throw in an unrelated paragraph about how pro skier's are jocks who don't know how to socialize.
The whole article was an excuse to call Jon a self-important diva (apparently oblivious to the irony) and Simon a jock.
Simon and Wallisch were being douches, but for exactly the opposite reason- That the rules do matter because the money that makes the event possible is based on the exposure that companies get for being associated with the edits. They were not acting like professionals- if they had a gripe with how the contest was judged, they should have addressed it directly instead of "taking their ball and going home".

people need to stop using the term "well-written" so lightly. just because it is above the standard of the common NSG post does not make it well-written. and from what ive seen, that shit really isnt,

Can I see something you have written that has been published on a website?

BroBomb is the shit and they are just some dudes talking about skiing and their views on things. People ALWAYS ask for more skiing blogs or articles or more coverage and it seems like EVERYTIME one is offered people just bitch and moan about it.

dont get me wrong, its entertaining, and its not sloppy, im not trying to attack the writers personally, just stating an opinion.

I encourage every skier to learn common grammar, sentence structure, and putting together a proper paragraph. Jon is just one of the few that can do it and throw in his own style. I apologize for offending your much higher usage, understanding, and deep comprehension of the English language. LOLZ. OMFG.

you are pretty much denouncing any author who publishes publicly as an egomaniac. sorry but you just aren't making any sense here.

What we know

Simon is a girl (we already knew that)

Jon is a girl (we already knew that)

Tom is a girl (surprising, but then again, not really)

Schlopy is the fucking man.
